  1. Killer haul! I've been trying to get my hands on the Motorcraft 4eye and the Roush aero nose Mustangs for ages now. I'll luck out on fleabay eventually.
  2. I'd love to see up to date kits of these two, and a stock DeLorean. And while we're at it how about new Maserati Merak and Bora kits. Heck, I'll take really anything wedge shaped from the mid 60's through the early 80's.
  3. Is anyone aware of there has ever been a trans kit out there to turn the old revell 79 Capri turbo rs into a later bubble back car? Google has been less than helpful. Cheers!
  4. I knew about those, but it'd be nice to be able to get a street version of the RS500 without having to bash together two expensive hard to find kits.

  7. ^^This!! so much this. "Personally, I know a lot of kids that love cars, and models of 30-50 year old (80-100year old in some cases) lame American cars have exactly ZERO interest to them. Go to a car show with young kids at it, not "Kruze Nite" Drifting. Autocross/Protouring. Cars with laptops mounted to dash for tunes and combustion/boost/exhaust parameters, not a stupid tach screwed onto the column. Imports, not with fart cans, but real swaps. 24hrs of Lemons. Serious track days at real racetracks. FWD drag racing." As much as I like muscle cars, the stuff you list here is what really gets me excited, and is why I order most of my car kits these days from Japan.
  8. I was thinking the same thing, Romaine was fair ripping through the field right from the green flag. It's a shame Guttierez retired, because I think they might of had two points scoring cars if he'd stayed in. On a related note I'm glad Alonso walked away from that wreck in one piece.
  9. Promoting products is and has always been the point of these vids. Block is a businessman first, racing was a hobby and promotional tool for his shoe company that slowly became his now primary focus. "Watching him burn up 4 tires while chained in a warehouse. What was the point in that?" He had an 845hp AWD race car shaped like a 65 mustang. He could, so he did and it looked epic on film. That was the point.
  10. Thanks lads. Looks like modding a jada die cast is what I'm gonna have to do.
  11. is anyone aware of a kit in either resin or plastic? google is giving me nothing.
  12. I expect the idea came from Mercury racing themselves. As I under stand it this car was on display in their booth at SEMA along with a rear engined prototype looking car featuring the same engine. Part of a push to market it to high end custom builders.
  13. 1970 Dodge Charger powered by a Mercury Racing 9.0 liter twin turbo marine V8. As much as I love Japanese builds, the US is still king of the hill for custom builds. Link to article
  14. I agree. If the production model ends up close to this they'll have another RX as timeless as the FD3S RX7.
  15. Or at least it will... The RX-Vision. No specs yet, other than it will be slightly bigger than the MX-5. Linky with more photos.
  16. Haha! a statement typical of myopic old men who can't seem to pull their head out of the 60's. The simple fact whether you wish to admit it or not is that every major generation of cars look very similar. And no your average non car guy under 30 couldn't tell between any of the cars Aaron mentioned, hardly shocking as there have been almost none on the road for several decades.
  17. Not sure I see your point, there is no nuance here. Both GM models, both same platform, neither looks remotely alike.
  18. I agree mostly, although there are a few I'm fond of. The four eyed Fox Mustangs and Capris for example. Oh and as an aside, the Sierra is one of my favourite cars of all time.
  19. They do? All I've ever come up with searching is heavy industrial stuff,
