  1. Looking good Pat! I really wish someone would do some Ecurie Ecosse decals for that kit.
  2. I've got an eco boost 2.0 4 cyl in my 2013 Escape. It has also been used in the Focus ST for a couple of years now, although I think the Mustang is getting a slighly larger 2.3 liter unit. Its a very good engine. I test drove a V6 escape and the turbo 4 back to back and there is no real comparison, the eco boost is just better in every respect.
  3. Snagged myself a Raminator today.
  4. Ugly? I think it is the first good looking mx5 to come out.
  5. The Ford Sierra Cosworth. Its the car that put me on to rallying and motorsport in general. My pop took me to a couple of rally stages in Scotland as a kid, I couldn't help but fall in love with the Sierra Cozzies ripping past down the forestry roads. It is also the car that made me believe a mundane car could made into something epic (my dad had a basic Sierra at the time).
  6. I hope my topic title did not offend any Mustang II owner/enthusiasts, that was not my intent. I actually have a great deal of affection for them.
  7. In fairness, that is a problem most American cars suffered from from the mid 70's pretty much through to the early 90's.
  8. I love the outside, that interior is a bit shocking though.
  9. Thanks for the welcome everybody!
  10. Thanks guys! Email sent.
  11. Very cool, how do I get in contact with Norm? Does he have a website?
  12. The II's were light enough, that I've no doubt it would still be really quick even with 280 to 300 bhp. If I were doing it for real I'd be looking very hard at a 2.0 Cosworth Duratech, being a lifelong rally fan nothing screams epic 4 pot like Cosworth.
  13. No joke!, personally I would have gone the other way and put a wound up 4 banger in it, and gone for kind of an early hot hatch vibe. I may have a stab at a model to that effect, if I can find a suitable tranny to match up to the 2.0 engine from the Revell Focus SVT kit.
  14. There are more angles if you follow the link at the top. and some more in the following link, including the Triton V10 they stuffed under the hood. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?60923-Emergency-Makeover-Detroit-Autorama-Edition-with-Michael-Stoops

  16. I'm for option two in blue metal flake.
  17. getting started on this. Looks like quite a nice kit with exception of the extremely pathetic even for a Japanese car kit engine bay. This will likely be pretty slow moving, as I don't get a great deal of bench time these days. I hope you enjoy though. Box top Chassis/interior parts Exterior parts That dismal engine bay Clear bits and tyres Decals and window masks I've gotten some body work done and am hoping to start putting the CF decals in the interior tub soon. I'll try to get some pics of the progress up soon. Thanks for looking.
  18. Some of you may have seen me about on the big aircraft forums. I'm just getting back into car modeling, and hoping it will jump start my lost building mojo. I'm generally into open wheel racers, WRC, and GT cars. Although I have a soft spot for Mclaren road cars and Ford Mustangs. Cheers!
