  1. I've had to get parts from Revell twice and both times I got them but it took a while . I've never had to get amt parts, I don't buy ally of their kits . The one time I wanted to talk to Revell about something , not part replacement , I couldn't get past a girl who wouldn't or couldn't get me to somebody else to talk to . She had never built a model or even been inside a hobby shop but could tell me what she went to school for and how smart she was.
  2. Thanks for all the replies. The pic of the 49 ford is what in trying to make. I totally forgot the Roscoe cop car had the steel wheels , the Amt Torino wheels would look cool too. I think it would give it a kind of Cartoon-ish look , but in a rat rod that's cool . Now to hunt down some kits.
  3. I am looking for a kit the has the best steel wheels I want a very deep and fat wheel , I am building revell's 1950 Ford pickup into a fender less rat rod and the wheels in the kit look very small . I'm looking for something about the size if a NASCAR wheel and tire size. Thanks.
  4. Thanks. Mine should be here today . Got it. And it's all molded in white plastic. I plan to do a 2wd van by makeing a twin I-Beam front . And useing the rear axle and make very simple leaf springs from Evergreen plastic. I won't display it on a mirror, I just want the stance right
  5. I love the Testors Acryl paints. But I can only buy them at Hobby Lobby and they only stock the basic colors now , I used to buy them from Testors but they stopped selling online . The ones I bought from testors were always " right " not to thick or not to watery , I've bought some that are almost paste like and some the pigment won't mix and just settles. That why I like to see them and shake them myself before buying in person.
  6. I will get a few of these . Who has them in stock already ?
  7. That's awesome. I'm going to steal that idea If you get a Preiser "Eve" figure kit , to go with it , there won't be a need to change into swimwear .
  8. I like Fords in blue Any shade as long as it's blue . Chevys in black or bright red .
  9. Only cars built in America or Canada by highly skilled UAW brothers and sisters can be American .
  10. I want to apologize for asking about Walmart. I had no idea it was that bad dealing with them , I thought if Ithey sell a 6 inch Black widow figure for $20 then a larger better looking model of the same chick would sell there too . My local Walmart has a 4 foot section of models and it looks like they sell a lot of Revell Mustangs
  11. Have you tried to get into Wal-Mart ?( I'm not trying to say it like a smartass) , but really try to get your kits on Wal-Mart Shelves?
  12. I think they will be a fun build.
  13. Would a Powerslide/Revell or Round2 team up be possible ? Slixx and Revell did it before on NASCAR kits . Would that help with the licensing ? The model could make a kit and package a Powerslide decal and sell it on shelves ? Then they could sell a generic white kit online or hobby shops. That might work .
