I've built dozens of Corvette models, and owned a few real ones (http://www.shamblesmodels.com/real-cars.html). I sold off my entire model collection when I downsized and moved in 2017, but still have photos of most of them on my site.
I regret selling this particular model because my late brother gave it to me many years ago. It was a glue bomb he found at a flea market and. although he was an experienced model builder, he knew I'd make this one right. I carefully took it apart, stripped the thick, brushed on paint and spent many hours prepping it. None of the models back then had pad printed white lettered tires, but I managed to get it pretty close with a paint brush, a steady hand, and young eyes. My first real Corvette was a '72 coupe.
