Man, you're a prolific builder! I used to build 1 or 2 a week in my younger days. It's all I could afford to do and kits were relatively cheap back in those days. I sort of had an assembly line set up with 3 or 4 or models going at one time.
I cruise through the Squares here at The Villages regularly, and there's usually some cool cars to see. I spotted this one parked down at Lake Sumter Square a couple weeks ago.
I've wrecked many models over the years. It got to be a contest with me and my late, younger brother to see who could make the most realistic-looking wreck. Here's one of my later attempts:
I've never seen that model before, and I've been building kits since the late 50s. There was an old doctor that lived across the street when I was growing up. He always had Ramblers and I remember one he had that was very similar to this.
Dang! I just THOUGHT I was a decent model builder! I built quite a few NASCAR kits back in the 90s, but your detailing is amazing. How much (if any) of the plumbing and wiring came with the kit?
Thanks for the Widget Supply link. Which blade works best for cutting plastic? I've been using a cutoff wheel, but it generates a lot of heat even at low rpm.
I used to find resin wheels like come in some model kits. You know, like if the wheel covers were off. I used a lot of them building wrecks, but can't find them any more. Any suggestions?
I don't have room for the big dioramas now, but here's a few shots of some I did a few years back. I'll get back into it in a couple of months when I get my model room set up.

I built this Monogram kit decades ago. Alas, it was sold with the rest of my collection when I moved in 2017. I knew I'd have regrets, but had to downsize. Now, I'm starting over. Monogram made some nice kits, and was my favorite brand.
