  1. By the way, James May is an incredible driver. Always has been.
  2. I LOVE this car!!!
  3. Ok so it's official, I know what my end of summer project will be now By then I should be a bit better at this model building biz-nissssss!
  4. I've had great luck using either SuperClean or PurplePower. Oven cleaner seems a last resort to me.
  5. I was looking at kits having the IMSA/Group 5 fenders that would work. Seems like they are mostly 1/24. Also looking at turbo flat 6, the one that would work nicely is also 1/24. I'm unsure how they would look on the Revell 1/25 914, may be awkward? What do you think master Yoda?
  6. Then there's Group 5 which cars in IMSA also took part in.
  7. Well, a Tesla would be cool like there new roadster. Even though I know Revell is doing one, how about a real full detail of the new Ford GT?
  8. Was Tamiya USA in Aliso Viejo?
  9. Very cool. Thanks for the tip! Is Floquil the same thing?
  10. That's a killer design. It's very 904-esque in the front. Very very cool.
  11. I met Bob Farnham in the early 90's, drove down there with my 914. Seems like a lotta cool stuff was coming out of Cali back then. Apparently you can buy his DVD on making the kit. I regret selling my 914
  12. Hi, It's an IMSA class 914-6 turbo. Googling will yield more juicy info.
  13. Thanks man. Do you like the quality of the Testors kit?
  14. Hi all, Curious what the consensus is between the following kits in terms of which one is better quality? Thanks in advance.
  15. This would be a cool kit to build from it;
  16. I like brush painting interiors, under carriages, wheels, engines etc... If I was good enough, I'd brush paint bodies!
  17. I'm finding Vallejo white lays down a bit bitter then Tamiya flat white.
  18. Thanks Snake45, much appreciated.
  19. Ah, cool info AFX, thanks! PS There was a tuner here in Venice Beach called beach Boys Racing circa early 90s. They specialized in slant nose 914 conversions as well as V8 conversions for em. It would be cool to build 914 V8 complete with wide tires/wheel wells and of course the slant nose.
  20. Do you think it will be a re pop or a re tool?
