Well, this thread has got me really going on that FXX-K, o mang!!! Me wantz, me wantz... -
OOOOOOO, the 956, superlative for sure. It would be truly spectacular if MFH did a 1/12 of the Ferrari 312P!
-
Well, great cars are great cars. Wasn't hard to guess
-
OOOOOOO dayam! Yea that's a real beauty!!! There 1/12 Ferrari 330P4 is also a work of art as well.

You can buy a really nice engine direct from HRM listed for $35. It comes with the engine and transaxle. I think its a must have.

Yea but the kit will have sooooo many pieces -
W0W, beautiful job!!! I couldn't go back too far and only found 1 previous listing, but it sold for $300. My opinion is if you want it, buy it. Cool things getting scarce by the minute.

Shhhhweeeeeeeeeetttttttt! -
I can't really comment with any validity as I just got into this hobby last year. But as I peruse the scale car model market both in what's for sale, what's no longer for sale and casters who are no longer around, it seems that the hobby started to contract in ~2008ish? The great generation that is the baby boomers are retiring/passing away/very poor heath and there aren't many eager to pass the baton too.

Well, perhaps they prefer Ferraris in the rear veiw so they can look at the rear view. Kinda like one ponders a beautiful painting. Were with the Lambos, its like ok pass me please. Well I don't. They are a great looking car but seem very very similar to one another They all seem to cast a similar shadow or silhouette (I imagine). Plus I never really liked bulls, too brutish. PS I've just read the history of Lamborghini on there site, wow, beautiful. A great read!

His web guy passed away and had all the control and management info etc... I see this all the time, developers; application or website, poorly document. They begrudgingly give control to the customer in fear of messing up there work etc... So the customer, trusting there IT guy to do the right thing go on to other things. Setting up proper tech is hard, managing it properly is even harder. And properly communicating it is even harder.

Thanks for the feed back. I got off the phone with him earlier today, a very cool and nice man for sure. He and I love the same cars, Ferrari 350 and 333SP. I'm very sad that I can't get a hold of his 333SP now but who knows what the future will bring. At any rate for those living near by, I'd for sure recommend a visit as his shop sounds comprehensive for sure.

OMG, I just read that Marchionne will remain chairman of Ferrari!, is this true? If so, he's like a venereal wart! Total bummer.
-
Ūber clean for sure. Perfect in fact. I've the Gulf version with the HRM engine, not gonna build any time soon though
-
Dayam, lotsa work, a Yoda you are! PS I plan to do a 350 from a Fujimi kit but using a slot car body. This is a test spray as I forgot to mask off the windsheild area. But I have one more to do my real spray on. Much later of course as I need more experiance before taking on such an endeavor.
-
Holy shizzle batman, f-ing hot! PS I recognize your handy verk from the Ferrari 350 post! How did you get the 350 body? Was it from a slot car body? That's a grail kit for sure!!!
-
Darn! His hobby shop in Canada is closed on Mondays. Oh well, looking forward in calling tomorrow, hope he can sell me, what is 1 of 2 holy grail kits. The other was breifly done by Fein Design which is no longer remotey available unless one could time travel backwards. I think I got back into this hobby a wee bit too late seeing that I love older road racers etc...

Ah, I get your point now. Well, not being being under Chrysler Fiat may change things. Mebbe not for us as model builders, but perhaps in other aspects.

Sure seems like lawyers make lives for the every day laymen and working class more difficult. An excellent song by Tool; The Pot, lyric snippet; "Liar, lawyer, mirror, show me what's the difference?"
-
I'm sad over this. However during this re-org as Ferrari is now Ferrari, could mean they will be less corporate and more personable.

I've been pondering your post for some tme. And I wanted to say that I totally disagree. Ferrari has always pushed the envelope and has not only been a brand that influences, but also a brand that sells dreams. Just looking at there lastest concept; Manifesto, really inspires. I think track record or history defines what a company is, not so much current happenings. Sure, Tesla is a very cool company, but 10 years goes by quickly and I don't see Ferrari taking a back seat during that time. Besides, Elon Musk is more about developing energy storage then he is about deveoping cars. His cars are simply a vessel for his battery tech. Where as Ferrari is all about "The Car". Do I sound like a Ferrari fan boy? Well, perhaps although I'm not. I've never been to a Ferrari social event and don't have any of there cloths. I do have plenty of there 1/24 scale models by various manufacters and have tracked 2 carsm, man what a blast. I was scared at first but that turned into respect. Chalk it up to imagination, fantasy or romance, but I felt a spirit in driving a Ferrari that I have never felt in any other car. There emblem is pure genious. A black horse on it's rears in a yellow background on top of a red car. Perfection!
