  1. After five months in hibernation, I've finally made some progress on my Talbot Lago. All the uneven and bad places has been fixed, and another coat of primer is almost ready to go on finally. Im aiming to have this one finished in time for BUCK here in Sweden, which is held on the 29th of October, so that's my deadline. Here's some progress photos... Filling the holes for the extra headlights and smoothing it out. I used 0.8 mm styrene sheets for covering the hole, and a mixture of styrene shavings and styrene glue as filler. Rear is being finished. A lot of uneven places here so some sanding and filling was needed. The part where the roof meets the windscreen caused me some problems since they are so very different, but after a lot of sanding and filling, it's turned out pretty good. Also visible is the small piece of the door that's missing, so had to fill it up. Now I've only got a little more sanding to do on the body, and then it's off to primer. The work on the interior and the chassis has both been started, but no photos of that yet..
  2. Thank you Terry! Sad to hear that Dan, sh*t like that always sucks.. Thank you!
  3. Thank you! Thanks! Very happy with the interior Thank you!
  4. Thanks! Yeah I've very satisifed with it! Thank you Yeah it turned out really nice in red! Thank you!
  5. Thanks! I'm fairly satisfied with it so I'm happy The kit is molded in very sturdy styrene, the body didn't have any flex what so ever. I had a small issue where the completed chassis (Before the body was put on that is) would three-wheel a little, but the body weighed it down so there is some flex in the plastic, but imo it's pretty decent. Only thing I didn't like with the kit was that mounting points for some parts were non-existing, but that's a bit OT to your question.
  6. Basically finished with this one, after I screwed up the paint on some parts of the body, grew tired of it, and let it sit for almost half a year. Kit is Lindberg's 1937 Ford Custom Convertible, which basically is Testor's Boyd Smoothster from 1997.
  7. Built this one during two weeks straight last year.
  8. My latest build is a 1976-ish Monogram Porsche 911 Carrera with a few mods here and there to give it a cleaner and backdated look. The interior has been heavily updated too.
  9. Awesome build. Bernt Karlsson built one El Camaro in the 90's and one a few years ago, on the current generations of fitting GM cars; this reminds me of those a lot!
  10. I'm more or less finished with my Porsche 930 Outlaw now. Started life as a Monogram Porsche 911 Carrera which was built in 1976 by another Swedish model builder. I bought it, built but unpainted, and tore it down completely. And I remodeled the front and rear bumpers and I shaved part of the sides too. Interior has been heavily modified. The whole floor with seats molded into it was removed and a new floor was built. I used seats from a Tamiya Ferrari FXX, made a new handbrake, and used the steering wheel from a Tamiya Honda Accord JTCC. Before.. And after. The body was sprayed with Humbrol Silver 11. Rear lights and reflector panel replacement are all custom made. The finish is not top notch, but the guy driving the car, think of him as Magnus Walker and his 277, and I think you all know why!
  11. Thanks, me too, I just make things up as the build goes so.. Weird is awesome
  12. Thank you all very much, glad you're liking it so far! sjordan2: I'm planning on painting it candy red, but I haven't decided completely yet.
  13. Thank you very much! I hope that the color I'm thinking of will enhance the nice shapes; candy red. Will be using a nice copper base with transparent red rear-light shading, and of course clear coat on top of that.
  14. Awesome Indeed, I was very pleased when I mocked it up!
  15. Fenderskirts were added. After the roof and the fenderskirts were blended into the body nicely, I shot the body with some primer, and this is where I'm at at the moment. There are a few places on the body which needs some more finishing, but so far so good!
  16. Here's something I've been working on and off on for the past six months, based on the Heller 1950 Talbot-Lago Record. This is a kit which has been in my stash for a year or so, was part of an auction of eleven kits that I won. I had no idea what I wanted to do with it until I found the roof from an AMT 1957 Ford T-bird. Started with just a mock-up with tape... And got the roof crafted on and the paint on the body stripped. More is coming....
  17. Awesome build! I may have to try the BFM method on a build now...
  18. Bob- Thanks! Tony- Agreed Greg- Yeah pretty satisfied with the attitude! Ray- Thank you!
  19. Nice build. I've been thinking of doing a modern body gasser for some time now.. Might have to do that now!
