  1. Amazing build! This thing is clean! Love the color combo, wheels, and under the hood is awesome too. The headers and collectors look sick I see you said this is your first time doing heater hoses and battery cables. The battery cables/terminals are spot on, where did you get the battery terminals? I only have one area of criticism, not knocking you in anyway, as this build is beautiful. I just want to help you take this from a score of 99.9 to 100, lol. I just recently went through the same problem with my first time doing heater hoses. The gauge wire you used is a bit large. If you can find some bit smaller, it'd be spot on. I wound up using the gauge that was used to make my sparkplug boots. Take a look at my Nova build and see what you think about the size of hoses on it. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/119687-69-copo-nova-complete-finally-pic-heavy/ I always love seeing your builds man!
  2. Thanks guys! It's awesome that this is still getting great comments.
  3. Awesome build, I just picked up this kit myself. Love the color. My plans are to shoot it the rare Tahoe Turquoise Blue paint from ScaleFinishes.
  4. Awesome weathering. What was your technique that you used, also what product?
  5. Thanks Ken! I passed by this kit many times at Michaels and picked it up for 50% off
  6. Nice Build! Where did the gas cans come from?
  7. Thanks man! Yea the WIP pics don't do the weathering justice. Not bad for my first attempt? I mixed the Tamiya weathering powder in a little alcohol and shot it through my airbrush.
  8. Finally got this one pictured under glass now. Thanks everyone for following!
  9. This one has been done for a week now, but I haven't had a chance to snap a couple of pics of it to put it under glass. Thanks everyone for following my build. This was a fun, quick build. I wish it were a later model 4 door so it would be like the current Sand Trooper that is out. Color is Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand, all weathering was Tamiya weathering kit products, and this was my first attempt at weathering something. Thanks everyone for looking.
  10. Holy cow! This is flawless. The paint is amazing. I thought I was looking at the real thing!
  11. This one is finished...but I haven't had time to actually take good pics to put it under glass. Maybe tonight I can snap some. The newest addition to the family has put a halt on things, lol. Only 8 weeks old.
  12. Thanks Scott. Pretty decent kit. It was a nice fun quick build. Thanks Mike! It was good seeing you the other day. Thanks Randy. Thanks Dave. This was my first weathering job...I learned a lot, and hope I didn't over do it. No all I need is to get the sand/mud Tamiya weathering kit for my next 4x4 build.
  13. This is an awesome build...I need this to make one like my 1:1 85 Silverado, lol.
  14. Mike, it was good seeing you again! Glad you are able to thin out some of the stash. Last year was my first for this one, and any show, and I love it. The venue is awesome and there are some great venders there selling nice stuff.
  15. Really enjoyed the show this year! Only my 2nd show entered and came home with a top 15 for one of my entries. Had a lot of positive feedback and met some super nice guys!
  16. This one is almost done. All I have to do is make a hook for the winch, and finish up painting/weathering my jerry can and mount it.
  17. Yes I will, but the chrome is stripped off and it is airbrushed semi gloss black. Thanks Joe! I may give it a whirl..I have some styrene rod that I could try it on. Thanks again JT! Thanks Jonathan!
  18. Man your weathering skills are awesome!! I need a tow hook like this for a winch. Could someone please let me know where to find one?
