  1. Thank you Emmanuel. This is probably one of my best/favorite builds to date. I love cars with a big set meats out back.
  2. Thank you Steve! Thanks David. I knew you'd come around to the color The on the work bench pics screwed the hue up. Thanks Tyrone, that means a lot coming from you, your builds are always super clean and detailed! I believe this is a link for the tires. I'm not sure, but I bought them from a member on here....but a little research shows the maker of them is a member on here by the name of cnaind. His email is cnaind@ptd.net. I think. http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/ http://public.fotki.com/cnaind/mas-resin-price-lis/ Thanks Yuri! Thank you Steve!
  3. Thanks everyone who followed this build. I'm happy to say it is now Under Glass! Please check it out here
  4. I'd like to thank everyone that followed my build thread and gave tips and kind words. It really kept me going. Here it is after a long build, but I enjoyed every minute of it! The color is ScaleFinishes Chevrolet Light Green Metallic, with ScaleFinishes Clear. The engine bay is fully wired and plumbed, it has MA's Resin Drag radials, all chrome was stripped and painted with SpazStix Chrome, I also added seatbelts, flocked the interior with embossing powder, and added ModelCarsGarage photo etched emblems. Thanks for looking, and I have also included some pics of this American Muscle with some Japanese Muscle. And here is the beast with 2 Japanese beasts, lol. Thank you guys for looking!
  5. Thanks Dave. And thanks to everyone who has been following this build and showing support. It keeps me going and makes me strive to be as good as you guys
  6. Thanks Mike! Haha....yea, we just went to AC Moore Monday, and I saw they had a buy one get one 50% off on models...... so, I bought a 2nd COPO Camaro and the Revell 37 Ford Coupe Street Rod I have a closet full of models in our guest bedroom, and I always hear about that one, lol.
  7. I did get a little done last night. I got my panel lines washed, the radiator support on the body painted, all of the glass polished and in, and some of the photo-etched emblems detailed and installed.
  8. Thanks Mike. Lol, I've got too many as is, but we all know how that goes. Thanks Jason.
  9. The color looks awesome in person. I'm taking my pics currently on the workbench with my cell phone, so it messes with the hue. I'm going to take the under glass pics with my DSLR.
  10. Thank you guys! I'm super excited about getting this closer to being done. I'm anxious to see this one finished. Probably going to be my best, most detailed build to date.
  11. Bet you guys are wondering what happened to this build, lol. Well, Christmas time came, and since my wife is from up North, we had to go up there for Christmas with her family, so there was my week and a half of Christmas Vacation. I did get back to the bench yesterday evening and got the body cleared, polished, and my BMF work done. I don't know how I have gone this long without a dehydrator, lol. I cleared this thing at about 4:30pm, and by 8:00pm I was ready to polish and good to go. All that is left to put the glass in, detail my panel lines, paint the radiator support and under hood area black, put the photo etch stuff on, and it will be ready to put onto the chassis.
  12. Thanks Tyrone, that means a lot to hear from you. Your builds are always super clean. Love the Green on the Nova's this model.
  13. Clean build love the road grime as well. I'm working on a metallic green version as well with some fat drag radials. Check my build progress in the on the workbench threads
  14. Super clean, awesome builds!
  15. Thanks Ronald Thanks Mike, I sure hope so.
  16. Thanks Mike, It almost looks like basecoat. It has a very small amount of sheen to it. So, I will throw something on it to hopefully make it better. Too awesome of a paintjob to look dull.
  17. Thank you. The kit is surprisingly nice. Thanks Steve. I hate that the lighting makes the color look like gold, lol. I'll bust out the DSLR for the underglass pics
  18. I finally got a chance to get the body painted on the Nova. The paint is ScaleFinishes Green Mist Metallic Enamel. I'm very satisfied with how the paint laid down, but even though this says it doesn't require any clear, it isn't shiny enough for my liking. So, I will be putting some clear on it as well. It should be safe enough to start handling today. I let it bake in the dehydrator for 5.5 hours last night on 105* I'm going to have to repaint the center tail panel, not sure why but the paint would not lay right in the center. It was prepped the same way as the body, sanded, Tamiya Primer, wetsanded with 1000grit, and washed down again, then sprayed. Sorry the pics make it look not green, it's due to my workbench lighting and camera. .
  19. Mike, I tried out making some brake lines for my master cylinder. The car is supposed to have 2 lines, So I made the back side line a little larger to fill up some space.
  20. Looks awesome. I'll give it a go.
  21. Thanks a lot Richard. Thanks Mike. I have all of the beading wire to do the brake lines, just don't know how to get the spiral shape from the master cylinder. Any tips?
  22. I think I am officially finished with the interior and under hood detail of this build. I added some seatbelts, the keys from the photo-etch kit, the photo-etch radiator cap, and a vacuum hose for the brake booster, on top of changing out the fenderwell and firewall wiring with the correct gauge. I couldn't believe the photo-etch kit didn't come with some seatbelt clasps, so I made some quick things out of some styrene strip with a hole drilled in the ends. Hope this looks ok...I picked up the smallest ribbon that Michael's had.
  23. I picked up the smallest ribbon I could find at Michael's Sunday. Hopefully it looks ok.
