Chevrolet Titan barn find

Try using over cleaner or soaking them in super Clean to get the grease off. Of course this will remove the paint and chrome plating too. -

Very nice. I'm working on one of these right now too. Gonna put a car hauler behind it when it's all said and over. -

I decided I really can use all of that stuff you offered. I sent some stuff I'm offering so far to trade in the PM. I will take and send more pictures of everything if you want. -

Replacement chrome for semi trucks.

I've heard these things are sorta like a holy grail of semi model kits. I have the 1976 model too but it is missing most of the same pieces. -

Thanks for the info. I probably will just get a brand new kit like you suggested when they finally do get reissued. I have the missing grill piece it just came off when I tilted the cab. It's the only piece that did come off. I can't get anything else apart to be able to repaint the cab. So I'm probably scrapping this rebuild and just going to leave it as is. -

Mostly the chrome for this International right now. I need the correct mirrors, grab handles, door handles, lights on top of the cab, one air horn, and one rear wheel. -
Thank you kindly. I am having more trouble than I thought I would trying to get the cab apart. And the headlights ain't budging. I'm afraid of damaging it. Thank you kindly. This thing is giving me trouble trying to get it apart. The headlights ain't budging at all. I'm afraid of damaging the cab. I already made a small crack in the windshield.

Just got this old truck today. Trying to decide exactly the color combination I want to use when I get it torn apart. I have the unseen grill piece and battery box. I do need the mirrors. Can someone who has one of these please post a pic or two of yours? I need to see what the mirrors looked like because they are not the same on this one as the newer kit with the square headlights. This one has the round headlights.

Plated tanker trailer

Thanks for all the tips guys. I will stop using the glue. And use the suggestions you all mentioned instead. This tanker is the hardest kit I have ever done. -

I need help with this one. I have been using the orange tube of Testors glue for years and it has usually been pretty good. I have noticed a decline in how well it works recently though. But it will not hold this tanker together. Yes I scrapped the playing from the seams but it just will not stay together. The chassis will not stay on the bottom of the tanker it doesn't fit together right. I don't like to give up but this thing might beat me. What can be done?

I agree that the MPC kit for the Rubber Duck Mack is just plain terrible. And mine is even worse. It looks more like the truck after it fell from the bridge. I didn't build it, it came second hand to me. But what I did build is a lot lesser known truck from a forgotten movie. I built the KW from Breaker Breaker. Here's a pic of my Rubber Duck Mack and the KW from Breaker Breaker. I also almost have Pig Pins truck built too. I have the right model but the cabs I built is yellow. I built it before I started building the movie trucks. Another one I want to do is the truck from Over The Top.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have in the past on cars anyway used the plastic containers that things like sponge cakes come in at the deli at Walmart bakery. That works but doesn't bond well when glued in. These are great ideas and I will try them. I have ordered 2 junk semi build ups from ebay with busted cabs that I will use for donor chassis. Soon as they get here I will order the resin cabs.

Good evening everyone. I posted a question a few days ago about resin semi truck cabs. I am still planning on getting the Mack F 700 cabover, and the Mack Superliner with sleeper resin cabs. They do not come with windows. So my question today is, what are some good things that can be used to make windows out of? The kits I plan to use for donor chassis are the GMC Astro for the F 700, and the AMT Mack Conventional that is green on the box for the Superliner. Will the windows in these kits work, or what can be used to make windows?
