You have a great set of builds. I really like these, all of them!

Whats your work area like?

Thanks, O-Man. I didnt think of going that way, but I have tires already. Cool. And I have some stuff from Forward-Resins already and it is nice.

Thanks Rich. Actually Steve saw the thread and contacted me.

Nice build! I really like the color. I have a soft spot for these cars, as I used to have one.

A friend of mine showed me some of Steve Zimmerman's wheels, Definitely some nice wheels and he has some that I'm looking for. So, I sighed up to Facebook and wrote to Steve about his wheels. That was a week ago, and no reply. Anybody have experience with Steve? Is he ok? Still in business? To busy? Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks

Very cool, Jeff. Thanks! Im going to have to try this

Thanks for the idea on using a 1/24 scale wheel. The thought had crossed my mind, but I hadnt found any kits yet. Good idea. Jeff, first- very cool model! "Sleeved" your wheels? Care to explain how you did it or point to a thread that covers it? Thanks guys

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it ) I am not on FB

Hey Jesse; Does Steve has a model business? How would I contact him? Thanks
-
Thanks Bill; I never thought about a snap model, but this is a good idea. I'll check it out. Thanks again

Hi all; I'm looking for a set of wheels like in the picture, but in an 18-20" size. I know the wheels in the new Revell 29 kit are good, but I'm looking for bigger wheels. Anybody know of a kit or an after market company that would have something like this? Thanks

I just got a set of these tires. Wow! Are they nice. As much as I like great products, I value good customer service as much. I got an e mail not long after I ordered, letting me know when the tires would be shipped. A couple of days later, I got my tires. Great tires, great service. Home run all around. Thanks, Chief Joseph -
Really nice. Congrats on a great build

These are so nice! I am a big fan of mid 60's cars, all brands. But the Chevies are my favorites. I looked at all your builds and these 3 are my favorites. Nice work -
I also have some good things to say about Clearly Scale. I bought a couple different disc brake sets. I got quick answers to my questions and good communication about shipping and delivery His parts were well detailed, no flash. Real happy with Clearly Scale

I had a similar situation, or it at least looks like the same thing. Enamel thinned with lacquer thinner. Turns out the lacquer thinner reacted with the enamel paint. It literally was solidifying in my air brush. Fortunately for me, I had some enamel brush cleaner and was able to get everything cleaned up. But what I have read, is that some thinner just react this way. They say to use cheap stuff, but even that can cause issues. My lesson learned-always test first. -
Glad it helped, Russ. My friends "well you just make them, copy them, resize them, print them all out" Yea but for $2,50, I can just stick them on.

Well Hemi, I fianlly got to read your thread. Very impressive!. And I picked up some pointers. Thanks for your work

I bought this spray booth about 6 months ago. I only spray lacquer and have no problems. Yea, it's a little flimsy, but I duct taped all the corners. (I dont move it anywhere), That helped a lot. I also cover the interior with paper, which I change regularly. Change the filter and this is a great set up

Wow, nice build, Hemi! Unfortunately, I dont have enough time now to red the whole thread, but I will make the time. I can see getting some good idea and motivation. Thanks for your input. fantacmet-I liked your idea of doing wire around a screw. Good idea! Thanks, I'm going to try it Thanks guys for your help

I bought several distributors from Arrowhead. (they had a deal on a 5 pack) They are really great looking distributors, but their customer service and delivery times are really bad. I wouldn't buy from them again. Just my 2 cents

I'd like to add another tip of the hat to... Michael Hanson at Best Model Cars Parts. He does license plates, dash gauges and some resin http://bestmodelcarparts.com/products.php I got conformation within hours of ordering. He responded right away to my e mails. Great quality work. Very highly recommended

Thats an interesting thought. I will have to try that. Thanks

I have found a few specs for stock trucks, but nothing from the aftermarket. I was trying to build accurately. And since Im trying to build a lifted truck, I was looking to duplicate some aftermarket stuff.
