  1. Wow, nice build, Hemi! Unfortunately, I dont have enough time now to red the whole thread, but I will make the time. I can see getting some good idea and motivation. Thanks for your input. fantacmet-I liked your idea of doing wire around a screw. Good idea! Thanks, I'm going to try it Thanks guys for your help
  2. I bought several distributors from Arrowhead. (they had a deal on a 5 pack) They are really great looking distributors, but their customer service and delivery times are really bad. I wouldn't buy from them again. Just my 2 cents
  3. I'd like to add another tip of the hat to... Michael Hanson at Best Model Cars Parts. He does license plates, dash gauges and some resin http://bestmodelcarparts.com/products.php I got conformation within hours of ordering. He responded right away to my e mails. Great quality work. Very highly recommended
  4. Thats an interesting thought. I will have to try that. Thanks
  5. I have found a few specs for stock trucks, but nothing from the aftermarket. I was trying to build accurately. And since Im trying to build a lifted truck, I was looking to duplicate some aftermarket stuff.
  6. Thanks Fantacmet; While I was trying to be accurate, your right, that there are way to many variables. So I guess I'll just eyeball it. Thanks again
  7. I'm doing research to build a lifted 4X4 Blazer. I want to take a shot at making my own coil over shocks. So far Ive found it easy to find shock length. But what I can't find is coil size, turns per inch/ft., pretty much any other sizes Anybody have any specs or maybe some place I could look?
  8. I have been away from the hobby for several years (20+). When I was last building, there was no resin casters, no photo etch, BMR, etc. Now, its like being in a candy store with whats available. But my first couple of purchases did not go well, little or no communication, l-o-n-g delivery times and bad quality parts. I was disappointed. But I thought I'd try again. I ordered tires and wheels from Scenes Unlimited and a Chevy BB from VCG Resins. Wow! Good communication, parts delivered right when they said they would and some real nice products So I'd like to thank these guys and recommend them. Great doing business with them
  9. Hello all; I'm Jeff from Syracuse, NY. I have just recently returned to the hobby after a 20 year stretch away. While I never really lost the interest, I just didn't have the time or place to build. But now, I'm back to building. Really dont have a favorite type of build. Current builds are 66Nove Pro Street, 65Chevy Impala on 24" wheels. My long term project is a much lifted Blazer. Ive been reading here for a few weeks and have found help. So, thanks to all of you.
