  6. I find I’m most interested in 60’s cars not necessarily muscle but all, American and foreign. Plus any thing from the thirties. I’ve never built anything that I’ve actually owned though.
  7. Try model railroad handrail stanchions in HO scale for 1/25 scale.

  9. Just picked up at a garage sale a Revell ā€˜69 Charger rt for 2 bucks. All contents are still sealed. Lo and behold, windshield broken in half. Anyone have a spare? Thanks.

  14. WOW. What a great bunch of responses. Thank you all. I'm coming back from a long break from this hobby. I still had a couple of dozen kits that I just stored away. Most from the early eighties. I've been back for about a year now and picked up doing 1/35th military stuff but find the scale and the cost of these kits difficult to swing. As for military modeling there are many "how to" books covering detailing and weathering (painting). I was just wondering if there were scale auto specific books out there. Mainly interested in detailing how to's but very interested in weathering and "hot rodding". Again thanks for all your suggestions.
  15. Any suggestions regarding scale car modeling books. I'm looking at Dr. Cranky's Ratz, Rodz and Rust. Someone suggested a Pat Covert book. WOW. Pricey if you could find one. Any others? Thanks.

  17. First car was a two tone (red/white) '67 Galaxie 500 with 289 and a pair of cherry bombs to keep it quiet.
