  1. Any Idea what year this kit represents. Googling tells me it "may" be a C116, but even that is suspect. I'm guessing its an early to mid 1970's truck based on when it was first released.
  2. I have the wheels for one of them in one of my parts bins. The have a great 'snowflake' cast rim on them. I know I'll need a set of these.
  3. I like the Wehrmacht Lic plate in the front. If it were Luftwaffe it would read WL as the first letters. It looks old, but I agree that it's not THAT old. Nice looking bug though.
  4. Well, I'll wind up with a Blown SBC Roadster, and a Buick powered Coupe. I just prefer the blower in a Roadster, and I've been holding off building mine until the kit came out. The new Mag Wheels that Tim speaks of will also find their way onto the roadster as well. I'm REALLY look forward to bashing these kits together. At the March Meets 3 days ago, I helped judge the Car Show. Out of the 40+ 1920's-1930's Rods on show, at least 30 were Chevy powered, split 24 SBC, 5 BB, and one lone 348 "W" motor mocked up to look like a 409. I saw 7 Ford Powered Rods and Three Hemi's. So the SBC still rules in the real world, at least the March Meets. You see a wider variety at the Hot Rod Reunion in October, when the Rods are older and more traditional. So Revell, has it nailed, at least from where I sit. Alan
  5. My Wally's has models on the shelf right now. Opened, and a bare bones selection, but there. About 6 total feet of shelf space.
  6. That small block in the Revell Nova is one of my Favorites. And it'll drop right into your Other kit. No Hassles, which is always nice when doing a conversion.
  7. I'd never seen this. Thanks for sharing. I may not build any, but they sure were fun to watch.
  8. It should.. Every Old version of this kit has had a set of stock fenders. It would be very odd to take them out of the mold now. I think what was said was that you will be able to build the Fenderless Roadster in a the 1920's Hopped Up style, as shown by the Yellow car on the boxart.
  9. Three Sets of Wheels, some nice (spare) Hemi VC's, and some great Decals. Wish we'd gotten more tires, but count me in.
  10. Jason, the Lindberg 34 Roadster P/U shares NOTHING with the Formerly AMT 34 Pickup. Two completely separate tools. The 'Berg 34 RPU is not a great kit, and never was. Original tooling is even older than the AMT tool.
  11. Well, it much more than that, of course...... The Mount has to be cut in half, then the sides have to be swapped to reflect the U.S. orientation, and then the seams have to be filled and the whole new unit cast. Not as easy as just moving parts from one side to another. These L.H. drive conversions are always complicated, time consuming affairs. Dontcha Know?
  12. Which is just barely adequate , at best, but it WILL do the job. I am satisfied, if not overjoyed by it. Just happy to have the kit at all, in this case.
  13. Yeah, and the Cimarron's are all gone too!
  14. However, a noted resin caster in the U.S. already has a Test Shot of the trailer kit, and is working on a Left Hand Drive conversion, even as we speak.
  15. That's very nice! Thanks for the link.
  16. It's been years since I watched the show. KTLA was where I always saw it. Tom Slick and George of the Jungle were my favorites, however. Although, Super Chicken has one line that I remember to this day.... "You know the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred!"
  17. Isn't that what Super Chicken drives?
  18. I think all the Jo-Han kits from '08 had quality control problems...... Due, no doubt, the the primitive state of the art for Plastic molding, 108 years ago.
  19. Bob, Thanks for a Most Clear explanation of the kits, and options. That really helps.
  20. Dang it, Jon. Now it's stuck in my head too. And, I'm a huge G.T. & Destroyers fan. I'll have to put some CD's in car for this weekend now. Thank! LOL
  21. Bill, try looking for either the of the Vette's out now. My LHS has the Recent USA-1 (?) with the super wide rear tires, for five dollors less than the 2014 reissue. Same parts in both kits, and the Newer One has 4 extra tires. Better barging for you if you are buying just to build, and not set on a particular decal option. YMMV. Alan
  22. I'm in for One Plymouth, one Pontiac, and One GMC.
  23. Good Work from Ira. But then ALL work from Ira is good. He does beautiful and Clever work.
  24. Has anyone seen any thing about the Tonka Kits? I've wanted them, but they go for Stupid $$$ when they can even be found. I've always wanted that Winton. Where the heck did the tooling for these kits go?
