Italeri kits are a different animal than US or Japanese Kits. Not Better or Worse, just different. I highly recommend using scaleMates to look up some of their car kit instructions. I like Italeri kits, especially the Rallye Cars. Worth trying.

Moebius 1/25 1964 Mercury Comet K-code
stavanzer replied to Justin Porter's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
That may be part of the business plan. A third hit off the tool, with much more 'Base Model" look and feel. -
Probably that it isn't high enough on the list yet, of kits to be re-tooled. My best guess, is that the many comments here have been seen and noted by the Folks at Round2. But, they have not said anything, because they don't want to Tip their Hand-create false hopes-Start rumors. When (or IF) they are ready to let us know about any future plans for the tooling, they will let us know. Until that happens, this is all just idle speculation. It's like Twinkies. Lots of Fun, but No Real Calories.

Round2 to release Mack B-61 semi kit.
stavanzer replied to maxwell48098's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
And, you could always do the build super shiny, and say it was a restored rig at a Mack Truck Show. It would look pretty good next to a Monogram/Atlantis '26 Mack. -
Round2 to release Mack B-61 semi kit.

Yeah, but you could get 5 or 6 used cars or Junkers on that Car trailer and have a great load. -

Great Build. My Dad's '61 Pickup sits high in the front, so yours looks good. Paint & Details are very Sharp. Good Show. -

A Cleanly Built, Sharp Build. Excellent paint and details. A nice Resto-Rod Vibe going on. Good Show. -
Why save old machine tools? The answer is at the end.

Those Machines (and the Know-How to use them) built the foundations of our modern world. Thanks, Ace! -

They look Fine. There is a whole subclass of model building called Naked Modeling. Just Glue and Decals. Some guys use it as slump buster, others because it is simple and recalls childhood memories. It's all good.

Had the '87 Camry puke coolant when I got to work yesterday. Limped it home. Hopefully no damage to the engine. It sits until next month when it will go to the dealer for diagnosis. At least I have a back up vehicle to to drive, so I'm good there.

Heller 1/24 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Zagato
stavanzer replied to Junkman's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
A great Kit, but it's Heller. You are going to Work for your build. https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/8/7/5/1663875-15-instructions.pdf -
The Force 10 from Navarone movie has Harrison Ford.

Revell 1985 GMC Jimmy 4x4 High Roller
stavanzer replied to av405's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Indeed. They just Phoned It In. It's like they have no clue about American Tastes or Wants. This looked much better presented as business plan to a bunch of German Honchos with no Real interest in American Culture. Yes, we got the Stranger Things TV Tie in, but almost too late to do any good. The series ends soon, and then what. Too Little-Too Late. And if the GMC Van is the fabled "Fourth Kit" then, IMHO, they have pooched about half the kits. The Camaro and Pizza Van are mildly warmed over retools, with bare minimum of newly tooled parts (and no Chrome. What the Hey?), and the Newly tooled kits are Okay, but no better than Okay. It is about the Lowest Effort brand extension I've seen in many years. Revell, Tell Us you don't really care, without telling us you don't really care. Urp.... -
Revell GMC Van "Stranger things"

Amen, Brian! A complete waste of my time. The Goofed the Front End, and The slab Chassis just seals the awful deal. I may buy the wheels when the eBay guys start parting out the kits. -
Revell 1985 GMC Jimmy 4x4 High Roller
stavanzer replied to av405's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Thanks for posting the photos. Seeing the details is a real let down. The Tires look bad (very shallow treads), No Brush Guard, no Swing-away Spare Tire Rack. No Gas Can. No Respectable 1980's 4x4 Nut would have called this a High Roller (or anything else) I'm glad to have it, of course and will be getting one or two, but a Light Bar & Rims/Tires, does not a weekend 4x4 make. Revell, this barely gets you to Second Base. I hope the next extension on this kit, brings more MOJO to the table. -
And here is the Original '27 T Touring. Many of the custom parts on this kit were never seen again. This might be where round2 started cloning parts from. I am just guessing, here. I have no insider Info. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/show-rods/amt-xr-6-27-t--ford/

I haven't been around since Monday night. Here's what happened

Hello, Steve! I am so glad they caught it in time. Take it easy and follow the Doctor's Orders. You be back to your old self in no time. -
I agree, the Silver '30 Coupe gets my vote.

Elrod, Watch this Guy on YouTube. I Subscribed to his Channel. He is Young, but very, very knowledgeable. He seems to know his stuff, and he is always pretty positive. I know this is an HO Scale video, but He does do some "O" Gauge and Lionel stuff. So look at his History. Might help you discover some things about the Nifty Items you were given.
