How did they do that, Shon. Other than the Decals, it looks like the same old '53 Ford.

Awesome Build! Good Show.

I had not thought of that. Great Idea.

The Nova is the "B" Team at it again. Lousy (Unimaginative) Decals, Only 4 Tires, no extra wheels. A One & Done kit....I wish they had done better. The Lenco Trans and Tunnel Ram really limit how you can build the kit and the parts included aren't really "Pro-Street" either. The Scirrocco is the "A" Team in Action. Great Decals, Nifty Box Art, Nice options. The Rest of the "Class of 69" is a mixed bag, IMHO. I like the Merc Cougar, but the Chevy and Olds are Blandly 'Meh'...... The Batmobile will be a success, but they always are. The 2013 Camaro is a Love-It or Hate-It kinda kit. The Folks who love it will buy multiples, the rest will pass it by. Lacking an Engine is a liability, but not huge. The Diamond Rio is nice, and good to see again. The Decals are noteworthy. Edit: Added Instructions for the Nova. The Lousy Box Art on the first issue must have killed sales.... https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/chevrolet/1971-1980/amt-1976-chevy-nova/?view=roll#1

I'd rather they re-issued the Blazer, as the pickup is a Turkey, but I do like the little Malibu car.

I second the Motion of a Same Kit/ Same Type of vehicle Build offs. Pick either a Brand Kit which has generated a lot of excitement, or a common kit that most folks might already have. On subject matter the sky is the Limit! Police Cars, Dump Trucks, Blue Cars, Chevrolet Vehicles........ My favorite, Flying Cars! Some of this already happens in the Group Build Forums, but maybe promote it more. A Banner on the top of the page when it Loads? "This Years Group Build". Higher visibility might promote more participation, and encourage more builders. As it is now, it's buried pretty deep. It should be the third line on the home page, just under the "How to use the board" entry. And no more than two builds going on at once.

No. I don't even know How to use facebook.

You are so correct about this!

I thought of a change. On the Emoji Tab in the Lower Right Corner, Could we get a "Thumbs Up" to go with the Heart. Sometimes I don't want to use the Heart, and would rather have a Thumbs Up. Maybe a Double Thumbs, along with the Heart for especially good news!

Those are really cool! I like the Joker-mobile!

I have 2 daughters. The Oldest lives across the street. I see her almost every day. The Youngest, lives 2 hours away. We don't talk more than 5 or 6 times a year, usually on Holidays. So, my time to talk to her is very limited. She called this afternoon, and we talked for almost 30 minutes. It was great. I really enjoyed catching up with her.

Thoughts and ideas that hold forever true..........

A sandwich Board advertising a restaurant in Okinawa, in 1988. It said "Nightly Special. $12.99. Steak & Robster" I still have the video of it. (on Beta-Max tape) -
Yeah, there is one Gent who does historic kit videos. He has some really great kits to show. But! He holds the box in his hand for 1/2 to 2/3rds of the video, droning on about the history of the kit before finally opening the box and showing the contents. I love kit histories, but Dude! Show us the parts as you are sharing the history. I seldom really watch his videos, just because there is So much talk before the action. It saddens me because he shows some really great kits. His delivery is dry, even, and very boring. He knows his stuff, but it is hard to listen to him.

I've noticed that the Ads are particularly heavy today, and the Forum has been slow, several times this week. It's fine this morning, but yesterday it some of the Same Old Issues with loading times. Today, lots more Ads, and for some reason, they are bigger too. Just odd that here we are talking about changing things, and the Ads are back with a vengeance. -
I looked last night for any signs that this Blazer kit has been announced, but could not find any. The Box Art looks like the new Round2, but there should be a bigger internet footprint if it is only 3 months away...... His research has been shoddy in other videos. And I'm willing to bet that the Scalemates timeline for the Snap Blazer Conflates the Revell and MPC kits, as well, so you do have to know some history not to confuse them. Maybe others who keep a closer eye on the new releases, and have better sources than I do, can find out more.
