Great car,and great flick..The film was Steven Spielberg's very first shot at directing..Not too bad..

Absolutely incredible job on your dio.I can't believe my eyes when I look at these pictures...It gives me the inspiration to build my own.

Jeepxj replied to Mister Twister's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Hey Darryl,I like everything you did here, except for the almond/yellowish/butterscotch paint job...Just joking.Seriously, all of your curbside builds are always wild to look at...Right now I'm building a 66 Nova drag car..I really like what you did with the lower rocker panel pro mod look, along with the rear wing,& hood...Great job,as always. -
Thanks for the comments Renegade.I appreciate it.Im going to be working on some new HO scenes soon

Very cool Tom,I like it a lot.And your right, there are so many detail items for anything HO scale.

Oh don't get me wrong GT,I think the car is Wild,& SICK..??.I like anything Pro Mod.I remember years ago, watching Scotty Cannon race his OnSat Pro Mod 41 Willys back when "Pro Mod" wasn't even an official NHRA class..To me,that car was the very beginning of the "Pro Mod" door slammers...Oops,Sorry to get off the subject..Anyway Darryl, please keep the pics coming.I really like all of your builds. Thanks -

Hey,here's an idea that's outside the box..Turn it into a pro street Reliant K...Bet ya never see another one.
-
Omg,can u imagine if Plymouth had done that? And dropped a Hemi into a Duster.Someone at Plymouth really dropped the ball on that idea. They would've been extremely rare, maybe around 10 of them. And today, they would be worth high upper six, seven figures $$.Anyway, good idea,& nice build.Great job.

Wow,very cool car.The chassis/roll cage are incredibly realistic. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Good read. However my favorite type of model,is one that is a little beat up.I really only build drag cars, but cars that would be used by a low budget race team...A little ratty, and banged up,sorta weathered...Realism is the most important part of building a model.I was at a local show this past weekend,& I noticed that there were cars that had nice paint,or a nice engine, but were just very "fake" looking.I mean obviously I know they are fake plastic/resin model cars, but there are those models that are simply way"Over-detailed".Yuck.I've only won 2 events in recent years...A 1st,& a third place. Both times, the cars were weathered.Weathered = Realism, which should get u a trophy/plaque every time.Just my opinion.

A few of my favorite Novas.Any idea what color your going to paint it?How about, either black,or that sorta Aqua blue one in the the 2nd picture.
-
Jm,I gotta tell ya,you build some of the nicest drag cars I have ever seen. The Nova looks wild.Again,I will be following this build.Keep them pix coming..Just some cool cars, for sure. Thanks for sharing them. And I do believe my next project with be a 66 fat tired, slammed to the ground Nova street car.
