Progressing slowly with this, Ive now got the engine in place, and all the tanks on. Im beginning work on the cab and bonnet, and thinking of playing with some paint on the interior. Comments and criticisms welcome. -

Made some more progress, chassis has been primed and painted, tanks and rims painted, engine and radiator painted, and given a Matt finish. Wheels are just dryfitted at the moment, and I'm in the process of constructing the interior. As I have to assemble the cab, which isn't a solid piece like the kenworths, is there an easy way of detailing the interior, and then masking that off inside the assembled cab to paint the exterior? More progress to come soon, cheers guys. -

I totally agree about the chrome, I was just going to paint over it like I did on my kenworth. What would be the best way to strip it? -

Hey guys, made some progress in the last few days, I have fully assembled the engine, and am in the process of assembling the chassis. In the pictures you can see I have the front axle mounted, and I am working on the rear axles at the moment. Tips and criticisms are welcome, and I hope to have some paint on the engine soon. Keep on trucking fellas! -
Hey guys, I have returned! After several months of looking at my kenworths, and all the awesome builds on here, I finally went and bought italeri's Australian truck. After some research, I discovered it was based on western stars 4964 model trucks. Shown below is my small start on it, I've assembled all of 4 or 5 parts, and got thus far. Rome wasn't built in a day as they say. At this point in time, I'm aiming at a nice, clean OOB build, with maybe a slight variation on some of the smaller details. Any comments or tips are welcome, as this will be another learning curve for me. Keep up the good work boys!

You have done an absolutely amazing job on this! Well done! -
Thanks guys. i can get access to the truck, but it won't be until Tuesday that I can go look, I've got a bit on for the next two days. I reckon I could use the fuso tray for it, just cut it down a bit, mixing in a bit of the ford tray shown above. Definatly things to think about, and I'll put up my findings on the truck when I get there. thanks again guys!

G'day guys, i've been thinking about building a model of my Dads International Acco 1950 D. Technical details are that it has a Cummins 555 "Triple Yuk", an Alison 5 speed auto, six lug spider rims( I think that's how there referred to), 5-10 ton crane, not exactly sure about its rating, and a 20 ft tray. Here's my question. What parts would I need to bring this into model form? A cab, obviously, and spider rims, a bulbar, the crane from Italeri's truck accesory pack just modified, and mirrors from somewhere if possible. I know I've only done the two trucks that I put up here,( Kenworth T900 and W900), but this is a challenge I'm looking to eventually start and conquer. Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions! keep up the good work and keep trucking!

Looks nice, great work! -
This is my solution to my dilemma. I have made sure it's all sealed and there are no gaps, so I should be right to play with the paint! Thanks for your suggestions guys!

Sounds good, thanks!

The glass isn't in place yet, but I like your method. Thanks for the help guys! and by the way, the German aircraft you have pictured looks nice!

i know it's not a truck, but it kinda counts as one. How would I be best to mask up all these windows to spray on desert yellow? I need to stick the shell on the chassis to do it, as I need to spray certain parts of the chassis as well. The interior is already installed and painted appropriately(doh) and I see this as my best option. Advice welcome. thanks in advance!

The whole unit just looks amazing. Love it! -
Thanks guys! Appreciate the kind words! I hope to have another truck on the workbench soon, just deciding which one to buy, and what aftermarket parts I want for it. Any suggestions on a truck kit?
