  1. Shifter boot It took three attempts to make one. I´m consider with myself if I should do a fourth, to get rid of the “emptiness” that is against the floor. (Probably not ) Next problem is to get some leather over the hole where the hand brake should be. Cato, No luggage rack on this one, may be on some other. This one I try to build almost out of the box and my goal is to get a decent assembling of a Pocher kit. Skip, thank you! Yes it is too thick, but I have no clue to solve it with a “smaller” rod.
  2. You are playing in the highest division!! Excellent!!!
  3. An attempt to make the metal clip that hold the “crossing” rods together. Small adjustment maybe. Small pieces for me
  4. So that’s the way it is, now I understand better how this should be done. I see that I need a bigger place to work in Always nice to see your amazing work. Thank you Cato for taking your time!!
  5. Here is another supplier for "nuts and bolts" in Germany http://knupfer.info/shop/
  6. Scott, I know what you mean. A little mock up make you feel better to, move on. Very nice so far!!
  7. Always nice to see yours updates. I´m also interested in how you managed to solder that rack.
  8. Working on the head lights. I have bought the lenses from MMC but use the other parts for the lights from the kit. Glue the lenses to the reflector with “Micro Kristal Klear” and the outer ring with “serious glue”. I have checked that the groves as vertical. I`m not going to electrify the lamps. Yes, there are still some adjustments to do on the right side of the hood. And thank you Stephen.
  9. Thank you Cato! Doing some here and little there, but not the hood Some BMF on the back plates of the license plates.
  10. Your detail works are amazing!
  11. Thank you Cato, for yours clear information. I will try to take care of the gap. But now to something else, (a little break from the hood). When I cover the kick panels with leather I let the leather go “over” the plastic about 8-10 mm. That will cover the inside of the body and get a nicer fit to the door and the dashboard. (It is not permanently mounted in the photo).
  12. More work! I take away some plastic to make room for the exhaust pipes. I don´t think I can get it any better, some more adjusting on the hood, against the radiator is necessary. This ”hood fitting” is absolutely the most challenging part of the building. Cato, about the X-braces over the engine. It was my goal to make them when I started to build this monster. I have never built a car before, so when I looked on reference photos and read at different forum I thought that would be a little more accurate, then to have them straight on the side. I found out early that this braces came very near the engine top, I´ve tried some small modifications to make it better, but as you said, they are near the top. Maybe I can adjust the height of the radiator a bit. To get back to side mounted braces is too much work, so I will try to keep them. I appreciate very much yours comments of my building, so I hope you will continue with that.
  13. Trying to mount the exhaust pipes from MMC. I have raised the” exhaust manifold” and the front pipe is in conflict with the “half hole” in hood side. Maybe I have to take away some plastic to get a better fit of the hood. Who have said life is easy
  14. Scott, she is very nice! So you keep on, taking good care of her,
  15. If you got the money, and you want it! Go for it! ☺
  16. Thank you! It worked with isopropyl.
  17. Ok, then we take another. HEMI????
  18. Thank you Lance, for that link, now I know what it is And thank you Andy for your answers.
  19. I´m not very family with all special terms that I read in this forum, so now I dare to ask what is: MOPAR Gasser And when you talk about a “curbside” model, what is that?
  20. Thank you Scott, Cato, Tony and Peteski! I´m trying slowly, to put things together. I see on the fenders, that there are small “waste” from the BMFs “glue. To you have some tips to get rid of that without damaging the paint???
  21. I have to deal with my shiny leather look on my seats. I like when “details” are little weathered. Cato, yours are very nice.
  22. I feel that I was in need to make a “mockup” to see how it looks, and to stimulate my to move on
  23. Nice with a “home built” engine stand in brass.
  24. I listen to both Cato and Petski. I spray with primer and paint. Make a stamp from an “eraser gum”, brushed on a thin layer of black paint to the stamp and gently touch the letters. Not easy and it is not 100%, but looking from little distance I think it´s ok on a car that not is new
  25. Thank you Cato, I will try that.
