  1. The raised numbers are not black, they are "metallic blanc". Sorry if I´m unclear.
  2. Hi Cato! No, I would like to have the raised numbers in black. I have looked at reference photos and most of them have black numbers.
  3. Thank you Cato, Skip and Petski for yours suggestions about the chromed rails. I leave it, like it is And thank you Skip for yours suggestion and nice photo about the seat bottom. I take away the leather and leave it chromed. (I will see what I can do about the chrome door jambs on the doors) And now to my new question: I´m making a new back plate for my photo etched license plate. The “bottom” of the license plate should be white. How should I paint the raised numbers and the “frame” in black, without messing up the white????
  4. Wonderful and stunning photos.
  5. Doing little here and little there I don´t know if this is something to write about, but I do it anyway. I have followed Paul Koo´s DVD very exactly, but in this case he suggest (when using MMC handles and resin seats) to cut the pin on the inside and glue it. I use the nut and “tighten” it hard enough so the handle don´t easily move out of position, instead of secure with a small drop of glue in the rear end. Then drill a hole in the back of the seat to make space for the nut.
  6. Skip, thank you! That’s a way to go, but I have considered Cato’s suggestion and I think I go for that. I probably mess all up if I try to put a “black strip” over the BMF Back to the seat, I think it was too much “BMF chrome” on the bottom plate so, I put a small piece of leather over the most part of it, just for a test. Maybe I should narrow it a bit. What do you think?
  7. Sorry Skip, I don´t know all terms I mean the rubber that is on the raised rails on the fender. I would like to have some paint on mine, that look like rubber.
  8. It looks great, and should be very comfortable with some leather on
  9. Tack för det Thomas! Thank you Thomas! Trying to do some BMF on the fenders today, not easy. I´m impressed of they who can make it on 1/24 scale On some reference photos there are some cars with a “rubber cap” on the rails. How do I do that?? With some kind of pen or what is your suggestion?
  10. Always nice to see how you solve your ideas/constructions.
  11. I have look through your thread and I must say you are doing a fantastic job. Keep it coming.
  12. Thank you Cato. Working with some ”small” details. Added some black wash on the “air valve” in brass on the wheel, not very visible in the photo. Brushed the white ring on the wheel hub, and added the center "sign".
  13. I will call the seat finished. I put some BMF on the “bottom tray” and I think it´s okay. The flash makes it shinier then it is. Now when the main body is painted I can slowly try to put the Mercedes Benz together
  14. Incredible, I saw this today, brilliant, a real piece of art.
  15. Looks very comfortable
  16. One layer of ”Future” then one layer of primer and in the end two layer of Tamiya “Pure white”, with wet sanding in between. Yes I can see spots that is not 100%, but I can live with that The “red” disappeared, but the white on the main body is a liiiittle darker then the white on the pieces that was in white plastic (fenders, hood, doors and so on), it depends on the light how visible it is. I will leave it that way. Lesson learned it´s easier to get an even color if you have the same plastic color on all pieces.
  17. Done! Wait until tomorrow, and then we will see
  18. Very nice, looks much better with a red lining then the black one, and the rounded corners
  19. Thank you Tony, Scott, Peteski and Cato for your kind words and the suggestion for the color. I will try with BMF. The carpeting is made by Pocher. Cato, I have checked the MMC homepage and Paul Koos DVD, and they have the brackets the same way, that I have. I´m very glad that you take your time and help me with my building.
  20. A small progress, this was not a quick fix, take me some days And I have one left. The flash makes the leather little shinier than they are. I have to paint the “bottom tray” but I don´t know in what color. My alternative is: black (the steering wheel is black), brown (match the color of the leather and the floor board) and maybe chrome/silver or white. What do you think??
  21. Thank you Scott, I´ll do my best Petski, I have read the “link”, but apparently not good enough. I missed the part about Sweden. I order from Amazon. But I will check if the “Future” is available in our stores. Thank you for the information.
  22. A small "Pocher", fun! I will keep an eye on this.
  23. One of four pieces has got some leather on. I ran out of CA-gel, so more to come another day.
