  1. maybe i'm old school, but i like the steelies on the black one
  2. love the truck, and the show! one of a kind build you did there.
  3. i like that idea. if you have a color printer and some gloss self adhesive label stock or gloss paper, seems that it should work. maybe even a black and white printer. the only task would be to cut/punch it out.
  4. nice job. i can foresee this being a fantastic build.
  5. nice build. gives me some motivation to start one of mine. although, i will be going for a roughed up car with dents and dings
  6. it actually has opening doors, hood and trunk? what kit is this? would like to get my hands on one of those.
  7. nice. so this is basically an assembled 3 dimensional photo?
  8. pak rat, that is some very impressive work you did on that Chevy. Dale and Randy, you gave me a good idea what to do with my 2 NASCAR kits
  9. wow! some really cool looking wrecks/junkers here folks.
  10. haha! or trying to remove the cellophane from the box!
  11. i think red is a great choice to go with black exterior. as you said, "classy". my brother had a green 68 with white interior. that was nice too.
  12. hey john, i really hope you're hands are doing better. i had no idea of the severity of your injuries until i saw you all bandaged up. you seem to have a very positive outlook
  13. all those small details in 2 hours! i really like that model of Ford. was it a nice kit to build, or do you remember?
  14. i bought this as an open box and did a quick look through before handing the lady 7 bucks. i envisioned building it as a "wrecker" completely stock. after most of the assembly was done, i was left with just the options of the "stake bed" and "Pro Street". the wrecker parts were all gone! so i just built a bone stock 34 pick up. started to paint the sidewalls, but it looked too fancy for a truck, and removed them. the only things i added were the spark plug wires and tubes that run along side the intake manifold. this model was a real pleasure to build. everything fit perfectly. the only con, was the excessive flash on the parts and no hinged tailgate. the body was painted with rustoleum "smoke gray". i would like to paint the steel runners between the wood slats in the bed, but my eyes and hands aren't as good as the used to be.
  15. i had a couple of NASCAR kits given to me years ago. i opened both boxes to find tons of tubular parts for the drivers cage and chassis. put it all back in the box and haven't opened it since.

really impressive build. wonderful detail on the undercarriage too.
  17. now we're talkin'!
  18. hopefully some of you members will have gone through hours of building a model with all the details, and then decided to take a heat gun (or other means) to give it a "crash look". be it a family car or dented up race car, i would love to see some. (sorry, i don't have one at the moment). p.s if this topic was already started, post a link.
  19. wow, is that nice! also like the fact that you put a straight 6 in it.
  20. same here. you made out on that one. keep us updated.
  21. thanks Dave, didn't know the correct term. that's what made this kit a little tricky, the lack of "positive locators".
  22. cool. is it going to be a front engined Corvair?
  23. i'm going to go with real too.
