  1. yes, lol. i don't really get too much into details, unless it's a really nice kit. this particular model had so few parts.
  2. even my umpteenth build isn't as good as hers. she's really a natural.

    62 TBird

    nice!
  4. just finished up. there is some interference with the hood and radiator support. also need to do more detail on the headlight bezels. didn't use the supplied decals, instead used some from another Mustang. (i know it's not correct). also used clear headlight lens in place of the molded in chrome ones.
  5. nice build. car looks authentic in every way. really dig the rear tail lights on that year.
  6. i was just checking that, and it seems your only option is to delete all? the only messages you can delete one at a time are your sent messages. so, i too would like to know how it's done.
  7. wow! that looks to be 100% stamped steel. incredible skills you got.
  8. looks like a nice kit. really like your choice of colors for the body too.
  9. nice work Brian. love the idea of putting the past in the dumpster (along with booz) and making it into a diorama. happy to hear you got a decent settlement too.
  10. painted with Rustoleum "Sunburst Yellow". side markers stenciled in using masking tape. going to do some masking/striping on the hood yet. 351 Cleveland engine. finished chassis.

    awesome job, nice details.
  12. thank you Phillip, some very good/specific info there. will do a cut and paste of your reply for future reference
  13. good info, thanks! will build as stock as possible.
  14. actually, the base is very heavy. although a bit top heavy with the glass. i have accidentally bumped it (lightly) when the glass was horizontal and it fell right over.
  15. nice wagon. i love stock builds.
  16. yep, this kit has the racing dash too, and the racing buckets and no back seat. going to omit the roll bar and "fresh air intake". (i have a stock air cleaner to put on). as far as the body is concerned, it looks to be pretty good.
  17. hey John, thanks for all that info. the exterior color is r4 red. the 383 was built by Dick Landy some time ago, and has about 3000 miles on it (don't drive it much)
  18. yea, i could see that! haha
  19. i have used several different types of glues through the years, even crazy glue at one point. i finally settled on a glue made by "Crazy Glue" called "Fix All Adhesive". it's strong, yet flexible. if the need ever arises, it can be taken apart with little effort, and the dried glue can be easily scraped off. i use a toothpick to apply. just curious what others use, and opinions on them.
  20. on the side, i really enjoy coffee roasting. recently have been to a few coffee plantations in South America where i purchased 3 quintals of coffee from various farmers. had them shipped to Lima, Peru to my roasting facility. (i spend 6 months of the year in Peru). nothing quite like the smell of coffee being roasted.

looks good Drew. nice detail under the hood. love Mopars of all types.
  22. really nice build John. i have a 1:1 69 Roadrunner bench seat car and looks like the same color yours is. mine is coded r4 red. you did your homework on that engine! in 69 they changed the color of the engines to "Hemi Orange". if you need any pics, let me know. p.s. my interior isn't quite done yet
  23. i took a 1/32 snap fit 70 Ford Mustang body (yellow) and placed it on a Carrera 67 Mustang chassis, and it fit perfectly. as though snap kit was meant for slotting. ran it around the track several times for handling, and it did great.
  24. depending on how good your eyesight is, these come in pretty handy for detail work. picked this one up at hft for 2.99 + tax.
