  1. If Im not mistaken that particular white has a bit of a pearl to it, so that may account for the satin look Great start, I just wrapped up one of those. Eager to see it progress
  2. thanks for all them compliments, everything has been foiled, I was playing beat the sun today trying to take pics outside before the sun got too low in the sky, took care or the little tidbits afterwards.
  3. She's finally done, Revell 1958 Impala. Painted hampstead green with a deep jewel green metallic top. Interior is a two tone light sage and gold combo. Stock wide whitewalls with 59 dodge lancer hubcaps. Not to crazy on this one just wanted a clean mild custom. Will print the tags when I get new ink.
  4. 95% done, just need to paint the headliner and final assembly.
  5. Added a little color to the seats, pebble stone beige, had a tape issue so now I have to touch up the center of the seat.
  6. Sadly they were both sold a few years back
  7. If its the dupli-color engine paint I think it is it, it dries kind of rough, although I have in the past wetsanded it and cleared it with okay results

  13. on a good note, the whole thing only cost 6.95 at the local value village. I saved the backing which is 1/4" sanded plywood, and the shelves, all I need is three 1x4x48s and some plexiglass
  14. A friend of mine is looking for some figures for a car show trophy, the plan is to do a 50s caddy and he was looking for some females dressed in poodle skirts. Does anyone make them in any scale?
  15. looks like a good trade to me
  16. As I am not set up for airbrushing right now I like to stick with dupli-color and plasti-kote spray cans, and the occasional testor's one coat
  17. Wow, this is more involved then I expected, I think I might just hit homie depot this weekend and pic up some new wood. I can reuse the backing board and the shelfs as they weren't painted, I just need a few new boards for the perimeter and a sheet of plexi-glass for the front, thanks for the help
  18. While not in reference to stripping a model it is model related. I was recently given a display case that hangs on the wall, but it is poorly painted. It is a shiny paint so I am assuming either enamel or gloss latex. What can I use to strip it? I do not own and electric sander and I am not about to it by hand. I want to strip the paint and either stain the wood or use better paint on it.
  19. looks a lot better in that picture, it was freshly washed and waxed. I purchased it with drivers side door and fender damage has since been replaced, come spring time it will be rolling on these wrapped in some 195/75/15 white walls with painted centers and for knock offs
  20. My stepfather is a mopar nut, 70 440 cuda, 70 dart gt with a 360, 70 dart tubbed out, 73 340 duster and 70 dodge pickup. Honestly the only nice one is the cuda.
