The Red Ranger

I am trying to match a green as close as possible to Jalapeno Green. It was a color featured on 99 Ford Rangers. Anyone have any ideas on what green would be the closest to this?

I live in East Mesa, Arizona, and I am wondering if there's any clubs or anyone around here looking to maybe start a club. Let me know.

So what if you have a V engine, could you theoretically take the Bi-turbo concept and apply it, creating essentially a quad-turbo? I'm assuming room to fit this becomes an issue, but phew thatd be interesting.

I am having a problem. I need to cut fenders off my Skyline, but I don't know how to make the horizontal cut. Someone told me you can get like a mini saw attachment for your dremel tool but I'm worried this would get too hot and melt the model. Has anyone ever used anything like this or is there a better way to make horizontal cuts on a model? Also if there is a solution, be it dremel too or other, where do I find it?

Man I love this car! The kits are so expensive though. Well for me, who is broke they are. Then again really anything that costs money is expensive to me. Heh. Keep posting pics man I will live my desire to build this kit through you for a little bit.

What's funny is when David did the PR for the movie, on mtv he said one of the reasons to see the movie is that Kid Rock drives a Trans/Am. Hilarity.

Really sad news, but I completely understand. I picked a fairly simple car to build for this build for that same reason. My drift car is taking some interesting turns, so I'd like a car that wont require really any body mods, and Eleanor would require a lot. You are more than welcome (obviously) to pick perhaps a more straight forward car if time eases up, and the Smart-Drifter goes well. Just let me know bud.

Point being though is she wasn't on the list of cars to boost. Thats what the build off was started for.

No big update really, I am fixing the chassis for the right ride height. This involved shortening the CV shafts from the Diff, which sucked cause as soon as an amount of pressure was placed on the axle, it literally fell right off, so instead of repeating same mistakes, I made the cuts to shorten the axle length then glued the first halves back on the Diff, now letting that dry before I glue the outer half together. This will be sweet cause I lowered the rear end a bit, and as it was before the rear quarter literally rested on the rear tire, now the rear tire will tuck in rather nicely. Just felt I would give an update.

It's amazing how the same truck can look so drastically different.

Do december 31st! hehe. I have the Drift which is in October, then the Gone in 60 which is in November, and now this one should be December, giving three months of fun build offs for me. heheheh. I don't have much on my Gone: Porsche but my Drift: Skyline is very intricate, and my StRanger is very intricate so it would be appreciated.

While the Firebird kicks ass, this is a build for the boost cars, not just cars featured in the movie. Thanks though.

Can anyone tell me if Kustom Kolor is still easy to get my hands on? I found some on ebay, but not a whole lot, I am wondering if anyone stock piled a lot of it when it was out, and are selling it now?

Heh, maybe good to know for a future buildoff. Heh. Like I said though, just so there is no confusion, with the exception of the classic Eleanor, this build is for only the Nic Cage Movie cars.

dwc43 will be building the 1974 movie's version of Eleanor, I am going to let him be a part of this build with the original unicorn because if FujimiLover can get a hold of a proper 67 Eleanor, I think it'd be sweet to have both. Other than that, I can't even find a list of the cars from the first movie, nor I have ever seen it, so other than dwc43's build, the rest of the cars will be from the Nic Cage version only. Cool cool.

That is surprising that Lowerider wouldn't be on the soundtrack. Hm. So whats the word FujimiLover, should I count you in for Eleanor? IF you guys could possibly get your friends and stuff involved in this build, that'd be cool. So far we only have like 7 cars being built right now. I may end up taking a second car, but I have so many builds I'm apart of I can't guarantee anything.
