  1. It's a great start to a great build. This was on my long list of future builds, and now that you are doin it, I don't have to I think it's going to work out, and I agree when I first saw it I felt like it was too small for a Charger.
  2. The screws for the lights seem a little too noticeable. I wouldn't notice them that much on a real car, I don't think, I never really look for them though. I still have to say Model though.
  3. Just a bit what? heh. Wasn't sure what you are responding to there bud.
  4. this is today's progress. It is very rough, but I will get it finished by tomorrow. Then I am going to get the back done hopefully by the end of the week, so that leaves the weekend to do the other side, it should hopefully go faster seeings how I will have done it once already. My plan is to use a chrome base, then use transparent colors over it. Instead of the Green Yellow and Red I am sticking to Green and Blue. Those are my race team colors.
  5. Thanks man. I had to use some bondo to smooth it out, so as soon as I get it taken care of ill put pictures of. Im not talented enough to just use plastic. I wonder how so many people are able to cut the little pieces and glue them. much respect.
  6. Really? If you go to Graumans Chinese theater you can find Arnolds hand and foot prints, and his feet are small to me and I only wear an 11 and a half. His hands are only slightly larger than mine too. I suppose perhaps his feet have grown since then? But I didn't think hands or feet grew as an adult. I dunno.
  7. So far the extensions are going well. I ended up just using an exacto knife, cut my finger really bad, but it was worth it, but just so you know it wasn't while cutting, I put my exacto knife down wrong and picked up the wrong end so. Anyway I only need to cut a pice of plastic for the front end, then going use some body filler to smooth everything out. Going to get some screen door material for the vent then it will be on to the back end. Hope to have this done by deadline!
  8. Paintbrush would work well if you are steady enough, however I prefer using 1/8th inch tape, or for that rear wheel 1/4 inch tape, then airbrush or even rattle can would work. I've done that on a set of Mustang rims and doing it on my drift car as well.
  9. Where, oh where, do I find grill material. Like stuff you would use for side vents, or c scoops, or grills?
  10. Christopher Eccleston, he was on Heroes first season as well as 28 Days Later.
  11. Hey, Mr. Moonpie, that Camaro is coming along beautifully. Are you going to do rally stripes? I always liked the Red with White stripes Zuki, I appreciate your modesty, but wow. Also if I were you, I would lift it. I am gonna show you what I'm going to do with my Porsche once I get the pictures.
  12. Music to my ears As far as your Humvee is concerned, you are a man of the craft sir.
  13. Oh wow. Best I say is use a GT350 for the basis and scratch build. I doubt anyone who was willing to pay that price for the Eleanor clones would be willing to part with it, especially now that there are no plans to reproduce them. This sucks.
  14. So I have an issue. The Porsche that I am going to build is the 996. Now the 996 is stolen in the very beginning of the movie by Kip, but ultimately that batch of cars gets impounded and presumably returned to the dealership. So, do I get to be creative with the Memphis boosted 996? I'll let you guys decide.
  15. Hah! I love the FJ Cruisers, but not on bling bling rims. Your hummer looks fantastic though!
  16. That's a great lookin car. Great paint, looks mean!
  17. I'm not entirely sure myself what I was trying to say, however I would like to point out that I was right. I can't really explain it. but If the camera is close enough to the car, as it is in that picture, than the car should have been bigger if it was a 1:1. The way around that is to step further back and zoom in, now you can get clear pictures with expensive camera equipment and such but I usually assume people don't go through those lengths. Maybe it makes no sense but it works for me. lol. Ultimately it's all about perspective from the camera. .... I dont know I am rambling.
  18. I brought in the wheels on the rear so they fit comfortably within the rear fenders. I have the molding line sanded completely off. I am now going to cut into the body to widen the front fenders, and a portion of the rear fenders. I will also be adding the front bumper as part of the body kit. It is coming along smoothly.
  19. It's a model. The car is too small for the picture, it's too clear to be zoomed in. It's a really nice model, but a model none the less.
  20. Yeah but the Cobra in the warehouse got impounded by the cops. So it wasn't the same Cobra, unless the car was returned to the owner, then stolen again by Memphis and his crew... bad day for that car owner.
  21. I'm a big supporter of creative license. Further more, we only saw the Cobra that Kip and his crew boosted, we never saw the Cobra that inevitably made it to the dock, therefore the Cobra would be different. As you said, we never saw Ashley, we just saw the Cobra stolen by Kip that would end up in police impound. So I say get creative with it. If you were the guy who crafted the list, or if you were Memphis, what would you look for in the car, what would make it valuable to you?
  22. Sweet man! She's yours. There are some definite differences from the Movie car to the show car in your pic. The rims are different, the side scoops are different. So make sure, which I know you would anyway, but make sure you follow the movie car as closely as possible and be ware of imitations.
  23. After I get done with my Desert Street Runner in the truck build off thing, I planned on starting on my interpretation of a 2010 Pontiac Firebird, so if that will count in this build, you can count me in. In fact I plan on building a 69 GTO Judge in between one of these builds, so you can count that one in too.
  24. Sweet! Looks great. I am hard working on my Skyline for my Drift build, once I get in the final stages with it I will be able to start my Porsche. The Porsche should be simple and sweet.
