  1. That would be Unique Performance. They use old fastbacks and buld them up, there are three levels of car you get, highest one being the Supersnake. These cars are actually Shelby cars, they get a Shelby serial number, and the whole shebang. Also I found the Italeri Porsche! So I am definitely on for the build still! Woohoo. Between this, my drift, and my truck builds I am good for a while I think.
  2. To make it look like a retro version of the Newer Skyline I posted a picture of, and to do that it would require cutting into the body to extend all four fenders, and the front area for the aftermarket grill I have.
  3. I'm still working on this build. I am just trying to decide if I want to cut up the Skyline or leave it be. I REAAAALLLY want to cut it and mod the body, but I am a little scared to do so. What I am going for is to do a Before/Then with a 70 Skyline and a Modern Skyline like the one in my Avatar. Or: So what I am trying to do is make the 70 kit look like a de-evolution of that. ya know with similar body effects, but not the EXACT same ones. I think it'd be really awesome myself. Any words of encouragement or anything fellas?
  4. What is OOP? I found the 911 Carrera, but I can't find the 911 Turbo.... Could I use the Carrera and turn it into the turbo? I found a few differences as far as turn signal placement, and it looks like the tail lights are different too, so I'm thinking no. Also I discovered that Revell Germany made a 911 Turbo, item number 07300, but those are even harder to find it seems than the Italeri. I suppose I have bout a month to find it cause I have my drift Skyline but if anyone knows where one, please let me know.
  5. They are very much different but it's the closest I found at the time. I had never heard of Italeri before today. If anyone ever find this kit please let me know asap. None on ebay right now, I am searching up and down to find it.
  6. Where would I go about finding and Italeri kit? any ideas by chance? Also for the record, I know that they werent the same car, but aesthetically speaking they it looked closer than other model I could find.
  7. Okay I need some help. Im doing a 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo. The closest kit I have found is the 911 Gt2 road kit. The 959 is a distant second. I did find a 97 turbo that a guy modified to look similar to a GT2, so I am going with that personally. Any opinions?
  8. Honestly I think a Barracuda in a deep Yellow would look gorgeous.
  9. K. I will work my hardest to get the others done, but it's a 95 rangers, not a 93.
  10. Dammit... I have two other builds, but I have my Red Ranger project that I want to do also.... I don't think I can make the deadline on that cause I am doing a lot of goofy ###### to it. I will have to wait and see. This is the start so far I want to build a twin turbo for it, I need to work on the roll cage a bit. I want it to be Street/Dirt runner kind of truck. Nothing serious off road, but romp worthy. Between my drift Skyline and my Porsche (which actually wont be that bad) I am not sure if I can finish this or not. I think the deadline should be mid-December-ish hehe. If possible that is, then I would feel more confident in joining. If not I will have to sit this one out.
  11. Wow that looks really great. Good work sir.
  12. Doesn't bi-turbo mean the same thing though? if not what is the difference cause google search only said they are the same thing.
  13. Ashly is not taken cause no one has PM'd me so yeah. You still want her cause she's yours if you do.
  14. Is it me or does the Porsche 911 twin turbo seem to be a wrong designation. All research I can find points that the Porsche twin turbo models were 993s, not 911's. I think I may not understand exactly how they come up with these numbers. Anyone care to educate me? I grew up in a house that only believed in muscle so these bizarro futuristic european cars are all new to me lol.
  15. Let's make the cut off November 28th. It's that Saturday after turkey day. That way if people go out of town they have some time to get it worked out and such. I know some people probably will have their's built much earlier but I may end up taking a stab at two kits if we don't get an abundance of people on this, which I encourage for anyone capable of doing so. But I think the 28th is fair. That is 4 months I think that is a good chunk for this build. November 28th is Gone in Sixty Seconds day. I think to celebrate this build off we should all watch Gone in Sixty Seconds that weekend. hehe.
  16. Well with the Drift, which I am participating in, and the Cannonball build off (I don't know the end date for that) is Thanksgiving enough time for you guys to complete the models for those builds and this one? We can make it longer if need be. I'd like to get as many people on this build so we can have a lot of the cars. My idea was to have pictures of the boosted cars together in one kind of collected thing ya know?
  17. How do intercoolers fit into the mix? can you use intercoolers on a twin turbo setup cause I know they are used on some or most regular turbo setups.
  18. Wow pharr thank you a lot! as far as the 56 chevy, sounds intriguing but I think I'm going to hand build it.
  19. I was thinking about maybe thanksgiving weekend myself? Maybe thats too far off. discuss?
  20. Yeah but on the set of Fast and Furious the actual drivers of the cars drove them in the movie, so you wouldnt have to worry about it if its just a shot of the cars sitting next to the containers and stuff. Even if Nic Cage or Scott Caan had to drive my car if it was only for a shot, I would do it. Just me I guess. lol.
  21. It would have been much much longer if they tried to include all the cars. I mean I suppose they could have done one or two more scenes where they were loading containers but meh who wants to do that. If it were me and they needed say a DB1 or something, I would offer my services for free just so I can say look my car is in a movie ya know? Considering the owners of these kinds of cars likely aren't as down to earth as I am though they are probably pretty up tight about it. I know in Fast and Furious, all of them, they held open casting calls and they got hundreds of people, but I guess thats the difference between tuner owners and exotic owners.
  22. I don't remember them in the movie either, but to my knowledge the actual list has been confirmed by people who pause and freeze frame the movie when they showed the list.
  23. Viper has already been taken, but the XJ220 and Lambo is wide open. Let me know bud.
  24. Yes I changed it, to my knowledge they never show a Roadrunner but they do have the Superbird in the container, so I have changed that now. If the car can be seen in the movie then yes, it should look like it did in the movie. Otherwise if it's on the list but is not viewable then you can get creative. I think both ways strike a challenge, A) how close can you get the cars to look like they are from the movie, and how good can you make a car look like it would have been on the list?
  25. So I know basics about turbo chargers, but I am curious if someone can help me out with diagrams, or pictures, or a how to on how to build a twin turbo for model kits.
