  1. I was wondering what the appeal would be for the first 50 people (if that many people were even interested) wanted to build all the cars on the boost list of 2000's Gone in Sixty Seconds. I searched the forums and there hasn't been anything like this.... let me know if you are interested. The Rules 1.) If it appeared in the movie, it must look like it's movie counterpart. If you go to Gone in 60 Seconds you can find a picture of every car that appears in the movie for reference. Of coarse if you own the movie, watching it may not be a bad idea . 2.) If you pick a car with no name, name it yourself, obviously don't give it the same name as another car on the list. 3.) If you pick a car that doesn't appear in the movie, build it to look like it would actually be on the list. Remember "these aren't Honda Civics" these cars are high end so they must be pretty looking. 4.) These are the cars from the 2000 version of the movie, my appeal for doing this build is we never get to see all 50 cars in the movie, so maybe now we finally get to see them all together. LASTLY and MOST IMPORTANTLY: PM me if you want to build a car, please don't just post it here, I may not be able to check the thread every day for anyone who wants a car, so if you PM me I will certainly be able to know to add you to the list. Now definitely post what you are building on here as fast as possible in case we run into a case of someone wanting to build the same thing, I don't want to seem like I'm picking favorites, but please make sure to message me after you post in here, what you want to build. 2. I have played guitar for 15 years. Ken Lawrence Explorer Schecter C1 Exotic Squier Strat Fender Princeton amplifier
  3. I dont get a page.... it says it doesn't work.
  4. The sad fact that it's true makes me cry. lol.
  5. So I have a decent amount of Kustom Kolor airbrush paint untouched, and I have one or two spray cans un used, for a couple of years actually (obviously since they haven't made any for a couple of years lol) but my question is this..... what kind of clear should I use with it? When I learned how to paint 1:1 cars, we pretty much used the brand primer and clear as the basecoat, but since I never bought KK primer or clear, this would be pretty much impossible. So what is recommended? Also, I remember back in the day someone saying that the KK was already thinned out ready to spray through an airbrush or air gun, but seeings how it is old, and using my Eclipse I would need to thin it out, so what reducer can I use for the liquid paints?
  6. Forest Green, British racing Green, Tomato = Tomatto.
  7. The green to me is definitely a forest green, I personally prefer the green overall, though I think I prefer the front end on the white one a bit more.
  8. I have to go with Model. If someone was building this in real life no way they would shave the hood and such but leave the door handles. I know that's a weird thing to notice, but not only does the handle not look right for a 1:1, I refuse to believe someone would customize a car that much and not shave the doors too.
  9. Any recent updates with this? I'm really intrigued as to what the smoothed out will look like.
  10. I'm parting out the twin turbo parts from a FnF Supra I have, and going to mod the Nissan engine with that, and Nos. hehe. K I have decided on this for the paint scheme, I am a huge Sundrop fan, but dont have it in Arizona. It makes me want to cry. But that is the main theme behind the paint. For sponsors I am going to do more non-traditional sponsors, but it will be awesome. Hehe.
  11. Looks good so far, can't wait to see more progress sir.
  12. You have combined two of my favorite things in life. Mustangs and Metallica. First car was a Mustang, first concert was Metallica. So far everything looks excellent.
  13. they look like the rims off of Bumblebee though.
  14. bottom is Metallica - Ride The Lightning ROCK ON!
  15. One thing about Bay is he certainly doesn't give a hoot about maintaining anything from the source. Got to love egotistical a-holes right?
  16. I want to build the Corvette Concept that was used in Transformers: ROTF. Unfortunately Sideswipe is in the movie for like 5 seconds, so you don't get to see him much, but the pictures on the web are sure nice to look at. Looking at it, I think between real ingenuity and kit bashing I can get close. I'm thinking 67 Corvette, possibly mid 70's Corvette, and a modern day Corvette. Anyone have any particulars or ideas on how to come close? There is no rush as this project will be down the line, but maybe something to keep open so when I get to it I can build it, or if anyone else wants to take a stab at it. Seems extremely complex but I want to do it. hehe.
  17. I think the Mustang took a turn for the worse personally. I'm a Mustang man, but I just don't like the '10s. The side profile is pretty much the same, then why bother changing the rear? I dunno personal opinions and all.
  18. Funny, I was always a comic geek, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle kid growing up. Transformers was a bit before my time actually. (I'm 23). I am a huge movie buff though. Did acting, writing, I write reviews semi-professionally, so subsequently I know about Transformers thanks to the "movies" we have been blessed with . The funny thing about Bumblee though, if you watch the movie when Sam first gets in the Camaro smashes a Yellow Bug which represented the tv show's Goldenbug.
  19. Nah, the Rims in the AMT kit are wrong, and it doesn't come with any decals. Besides, the new Transformers movie uses the Camaro SS, which has numerous body mods. If you want to go for movie correct, pre-concept, Bumblebee, go for a 74-77 Camaro. I know AMT had an old 74 Kit back in the day. The monogram 78 Camaro has some differences, but if you are crafty then you may be able to convert it. I personally say build a 69 Camaro like Bumblebee, it'd be different. That's just my personal opinion
  20. Michael Bay makes all of his protagonists cars Chevys, and the villains drive dodges or fords. Hence the Cop car being a Mustang in Transformers, or the Dodge Magnums getting torn apart in The Island. This awful trend of product placement started with Bad Boys II, the only exception is Mike Lowery driving his Ferrari, but other than that, the Yukon/Suburban that the sister leads the freeway chase with, the H2 that drives through Cuba. Lincoln driving the concept Cadillac in the Island, or Buscemi driving the primer SSR... It's a terrible trend, not Chevy's fault, Michael Bay's fault.
  21. I have a Tamiya Skyline GT-R 2000 that I would like to do. It really should be done by October 2nd. Can I join? This is a mock-up of what I want to build. All I have done right now is the wheels fit to the car so that should be less than 10%.
  22. I am building the Tamiya Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R Hardtop kit, and according to the research and the instructions it's a '72. Just thought I would point that out. Of coarse I don't know imports as well as I would like, and I suppose there could be no difference from the 70 to the 72 so, if not, my bad.
  23. That's something I never understood. Why use a 77 Camaro for early Bumblebee? Why not just use a 67-69 Camaro? Makes more sense to me. I also just dreaded the scene where he "scans" the new Camaro when he drives on two wheels. Eeek. Coulda been done better. But enough of that, it looks to be a great start to the car though. I am really interested to see what a correct era Bumblebee will look like.
  24. I'm in looooove. Great car sir. Excellently executed.
  25. "Let me outta the car Cole! Let me outta the car!" I love this movie. Great car, I really want to do both of Trickle's cars from that movie.
