no longer Revell street burner 70 chevelle 3n1
KWT replied to Iroc crazy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
At present time, the Chevelle is not available. Except for places like eBay of course, and I think I saw one on model roundup recently. I love the Revell/Monogram kits like this, and this one happens to be my favorite. I can't remember how many I've built or how many I have in my stash. -
It's just my opinion, and we all know opinions are like.... To me, it doesn't matter if it's rare or if it's the most common kit ever, it was made to be built. Your vision of what it is, is just that... Your vision. Just as someone that builds one box stock or factory stock. That's your vision. Some one that shows updates all throughout the build may give some kind of insight to someone else going thru a road block at that very moment. And what one may not find interesting, may be the most interesting thing in the world to someone else. It's what makes all unique... If everybody done it all the same, how boring would that be. And if you don't care for the content, don't click on the thread.

'50 Chevy 3100 - AMT Snap kit
KWT replied to KWT's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks guys... I kinda cheated as far as the weathering goes. I used the Modern Options - Sophisticated finishes rusting solution.. -
Looking good, Mike! Love watching your stuff come together

Decided to start working on this one this weekend... was gonna try to have it done over the 4 day holiday weekend, but wouldn't know it, not gonna happen. It started as a quick, "I'm gonna spray this flat and assemble" and that quickly turned into, "I think I'm gonna relic it". So that lead me to this... I still have to funk up the windows, paint the wood in the bed some kinda color, and flatten the tires. I'm also thinking about drilling a hole in it for a flag pole... maybe... Thanks for looking... stay tuned...

Got some things done of this one this weekend... Decals are 95% done. And I got the engine assembled and attached to the chassis... Trying out my Molotow pens on the build in some places. I'm diggin' 'em... Thanks for looking... stay tuned...

Dang I knew that was gonna come up. I don't have one.

Make your model windows dirty, grimey, barn findy?.... and make your tires appear flat? Making a rusted relic'd truck, so clean windows and good tires are not really desirable.

Thank ya much! I actually wrote a short story to go along with it... but it's not very good. And the movies and tv shows I based it on are very evident.

Nice score... The camaro is always awesome. I've often wondered why that kit never seems to have any flash for as long as it's been around and all those variations... Always wanted the satelite... the other two are nice too

Thanks everybody! I do appreciate it! The whole engine assembly, hood, rear spoiler, air dam, and seats came from Clearly Scale.

It's the entitled attitude brought on by the participation trophy era... that's the only excuse for dang near anything anymore.

One of my grandpa's was a Chevy man... and in cars, it was the Impala. I've always had a love for them, and have owned one for the past 7 years, though she's a less attractive 2010.. I've had this kit for quite a while now, and just recently I've been working on it, along with the 2 Cutlass'. This is my entry in the Slump Buster CBP, but I've in a lil bit of a slump on it of sorts and it's keeps getting pushed to the side... kinda ironic, ain't it... Anyway, on to the kit... This is the Foose version... Paint is Tamiya Gunmetal, covered in Tamiya Clear Red. Originally had a little trouble with the paint, but my pal Joe (Mustang1989), helped me get it worked out. And I was going to try my hand at BMF for the first time, but opted for the good o' silver Sharpie... Got the engine painted Testors fiery orange, and the rest of the bits and pieces painted flat black... and that's about all she wrote for the moment... Stay tuned...

Looking good Steve. Real good..

Awesome start!

Was gonna try using BMF for the first time on this one, but decided to hit it with a Sharpie... my eyes ain't as good and my hands ain't as steady as they used to be...

Dang man... You said you trying to conquer it. Looks like you knocked it outta the park to me. Just say the mold lines are part of the white vinyl top.. Dang fine job, bro!
