  1. Well I'm down now... I can't wait for these to hit the shelves... I'm down for 1 of the Eliminator, the 53 Chevy, and prolly the GMC, and maybe one of the roadsters since I missed the first go round. May have to get a Daytona... even though I haven't built the one I have... But I'm definitely in for at least 4 Olds kits...
  2. Looks good, Rick!
  3. Not a bad looking color at all... Good job.

  9. Looks like passenger side is bowed. The drivers side looks like it fits better from the front shot.

  12. Good looking start there, Mike... well it was way back when lol... looking forward to watching this progress!
  13. While still taking a break from the Impala... before I decide to break the Impala... I'm chuggin along on the Camaro. The best thing about these old Revellogram kits, is they build up rather nicely and the there's not alot of pieces. So even with a little work, you've got a lot done lol. I got the tires mounted, the engine installed and the interior/interior tub assembled and all married together... That'll be it for a couple days.. Maybe I should have used this for my "Slump Buster" lol.... Stay tuned...
  14. Today... well yesterday actually... I was pleased with the fact that I'm been using Schaeffer Oil in all my rides for the last 10 years. One of my bandmates is a salesman for the company. My "Low Oil Pressure Sensor" on the Impala, which is supposed to let you know when the oil pressure gets low or your oil level drops, failed on the last day of work before my 4 day vacation... I didn't know it til I got home from my 45 min drive and smelled that familiar smell of burnt oil.. It failed on the inside and sent my oil all over... When I changed it out finally yesterday morning I drained my remaining oil to change it, only to find out there was only about 2 quarts, if that, still in there... One of Schaeffers selling points is after its coated everything, you're good to go while... I've seen it happen during the display when they pulled the oil supply away from a bearing that I was pressing down on, that continued to run for another 5 mins til I got tired of holding the lever down... and now have witnessed it in my own Vehicle... It's around $80 a case, and as far as I'm concerned, $80 a case well spent. Schaeffer user for life....
  15. Very nicely done, Rick... the whole look of this rocks
  16. I'm still down... Gotta find the kit I'm looking for...
  17. Thanks! I have another one of these to build a little later. I'm going to fill in the t-tops on that one.
  18. I don't think I've ever seen one that color... Pretty awesome
  19. Welcome to the forum, Evan.. I would suggest highlighting the badges, and some things on the interior with a silver sharpie or something.., maybe a Molotow Chrome pen. smooth out the paint a tad... but all in all, its not bad... especially for an older build. Keep at it, and look around on here. There is a wealth of knowledge and great people to learn from... You'll learn a lot and get better and better as time goes on. Build on, bro!
  20. While taking a break from the Impala, I decided to work on the Camaro a little bit... Got the wheels, tires and engine done tonight... I painted the wheels Model Master black chrome.. more of a satin than anything. Not what I expected. Outlined them and done the center caps with a silver sharpie. Tire decals are from Fireball Modelworks. Stay tuned...
  21. Thanks, Steve! There was one of these that sat on a car lot here in town for awhile. They were VERY popular here... and like most of the cars from my youth, they've pretty much vanished.
  22. HAHAHAHA... I remember that one... I may have been mixing the 2 together in my mind. Everything runs together anymore.
  23. Nicely done
