  1. Awesome! Mike, the bronco is looking awesome! Think the writing is just fine. Definitely something I'd tune in weekly for.
  2. This is awesome! How did I miss this? Great job!
  3. Steve, I gotta tell ya bro, I still think this is one slick ride. Where did you get the wheels for it? I can't tell by the pictures, what did you do to lower it? or is that just how it sits on those wheels? And BTW, thanks for the shot of the cleaner!
  4. Ah shucks... oh well, thanks for trying though, Jim! I do appreciate it! Steve, you're right. I really was hoping someone else had done this with the 1/24 version, though. Oh well.. That may be the route I have to take. Thanks for the input!
  5. ^^^^ This ^^^^
  6. Jim, I've been looking on the net for the actual decals, but I be danged if I can't find them.. I did find the kits they came in. These are the Monogram 1/24 78 Pontiac Trans Am. The Revell versions don't have the trans am letters. It would be AWESOME If one of these is the kit you built, and you don't care to part with them, or a copy of them. Heck I'd take the whole kit off your hands.
  7. I've only used them a couple times, but it's not too hard... Basically, you print your design to the highest quality possible, like printing a photo. Let it dry completely, for a couple days actually is best. Spray it with some sort of sealer... I'm sorry I can't remember what to use... Let that dry for a couple days. Cut it, dunk it, stick it... That's really all there is to it. It does take a little trial and error, but if I can do it, anybody can. I'll try to hunt up what to use as a sealer tonight after I get home.
  8. Ok... Does anybody have the decals with the trans am lettering they've be willing to part with? Or quite possibly one of the old monogram kits?
  9. Thanks for the page there, Ed....
  10. Actually yes... I dropped it in the purple pond. It got about 99% of what ever that was off. Then I sanded it down and took out the mold lines. From there I resprayed it with Tamiya primer then covered that with the Model Master Dark Cherry and this is where I'm at. Unfortunately, as you can see, all the panel lines really show up light now. Worse in the picture than to the naked eye. But, I did smooth out that roof line... now I gotta figure out off to fix those panel lines. They didn't show up at all when I finished painting... they started showing as the week went on.
  11. Yep, sure am. They are very nicely done pieces. I will and have ordered again.
  12. Thanks! Glad someone is diggin it!
  13. Looks like a nice kit. Looks nicely done. Can't wait to see some of these built. I'll definitely be up for it... Probably a kit or 2 just for the parts for other builds... And the eldo too, when it hits. I couldn't car less if it's able to be build stock or not, as it was never meant to be. I'm actually hoping the deal with him runs for a while. Maybe long enough for another couple of his designs.. I'm enjoying watching his mustang come together ATM.
  14. I decided at the last minute, to lower the suspension a little bit... As you can tell by the tires, that is about the ride height. And just to be sure I liked it... even though it's too late to change my mind... I decided to sit the body on the frame to check it out... Didn't lower it a whole lot, just enough... a tad more muscular.... stay tuned...
  15. Well being in TN and late May, I guess that may have been the culprit. Thanks for that explanation!
  16. Saw a Buick Grand National sitting in front of the window tinting shop in town. It was covered in dust and dirt like all get out. it had just been hauled there from a barn a couple states over.
  17. Got a little engine work started last night and this morning.. got some assembly started, primed and painted. I decided to paint this Nassau Blue. It's one of those Testors colors that I love so much... Well, off to eat and band practice... Stay tuned...
  18. Got a little work in on the chassis today... Still have a few little details to pick out on it. This folks is a big deal for me. I usually just paint it all black, cuz I never see it...lol
  19. Awesome looking Chevy... I dig the height. And the bottle idea.. What's the cleaner from Dollar tree?
  20. My condolences... That though, is one sweet looking build. Definitely a neat idea and nicely done!
  21. Good looking Camaro so far.. Been thinking about getting this one.
  22. Mike, i'm enjoying the story as always! And that Bronco is shaping up quite nice. You may end up talking me into this kit after all.
  23. Thanks for all the kind words, guys! It is appreciated!
  24. Very nicely done! I dig the heck outta that. Thanks for sharing!
  25. So last weekend, I sprayed the body with Tamiya Clear Red.. It looked AWESOME! That is until I woke up the next morning. The red dried with some kinda funky haze... I was ready to scrap this paint job, or box it until another time, when I got a little pep talk from my pal, Joe. Didn't get it worked out just as we talked about, but took a chance and it paid off.... please excuse the lint. for the life of me, I couldn't get it all off.... Still have to smooth and polish it out some more, but I'm well on my way back in the right direction... stay tuned...
