  1. I think I will. These are definitely not in the norm. Wish when I was younger and dumber I had sanded out the mold line. I'd do it now, but I don't don't want to screw up the paint job.
  2. Dig that color!! Good job! I love the testors one coat stuff. May have to try this!
  3. While looking thru storage to find a hood for a fellow forum member... unfortunately didn't find the hood ...I stumbled upon this kit. It's not been open in around 20 years, or so. Most of kit is painted and some pieces assembled. But apparently I was working on this one, when I decided to call it quits... The body had smudge marks, I assume from touching the box, so I pulled out the scratch-x went to town. I don't remember what color it's painted... kinda looks like a blackcherry... but I'm diggin the outcome. So much so, I believe I may finish it up. As always, thanks for looking...
  4. Been a busy weekend... LOTS of yard work and hanging out with the family. My son wanted to drive around yesterday... he's still got a permit... so we loaded into his soon to be 97 Lumina, affectionately named "Spot". Spot's missing quite a bit of paint... hit the backroads, and him and myself cruised around for about 3 hours... good times... Right before bed last night, I decided to go a head and wire up the engine.. just my second wiring job, ever. I'm not gonna worry about plumbing this one. Since I've never done it, I'm gonna practice that on a rebuild of an old kit from the junk box... As always, thanks for looking...
  5. Dan, those are some wicked awesome BC's.. I'm not real big on white guitars, but that one sweet!
  6. Nice looking Jackson..

Very nice Cuda... Nice job in the paint. Thanks for sharing!
  8. That is one sexy superbird... I love when you see one that's classy, yet with a custom flair..not the typical blue or purple. Thanks for sharing! I finished one of these last year in a candy blue type finish. I have a couple more in the stash, that I want to build. I wanna build one to replicate (only better and more detail) one that I built when I in my early teens.
  9. I've got a couple Camaro's in the stash, and have a couple that I'm thinking about picking up... As soon as I can decided which one, I'll throw my hat in the ring.
  10. I've got the other pieces painted, over the last couple evenings. Trying to decide on details.. considering a no frills/plain jane type build. Painted the interior basic flat black. Think I'm going to use the bench front seat on this one. Started assembling the engine this morning. ( Hugger Orange, aluminum and steel) Still haven't decided on if I'm gonna wire it up or not... Decisions, decisions... More to come...
  11. Nice looking chevy. Good job on the weathering.. Thanks for sharing!
  12. good looking start so far, Mike.. Looking forward to see the outcome. I'm sure it'll be awesome when finished.
  13. Looking good so far. Can't wait to see more...
  14. Looking awesome.. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
  15. That is a sick paint job... I may have to get me some of that.
  16. Awesome paint job, Joe... shaping up to be a wicked awesome ride.
  17. I'm kinda diggin this... maybe cuz I was a big time hotwheels kid... maybe because I had a nova in that body style... maybe cuz it's a lil weird. I like weird.
  18. I totally agree with both of these statements... I believe that getting it for free is the reason they come here... But I also believe a paywall would ultimately run them, plus several longtime members away... I want to subscribe, and most likely will, as I'm sure alot of us do. The only issue I have is I'd like to visibly be able to thumb through it, to get a feel of what I'm buying, before I dive in. And I can't find anywhere close that stocks it. Barnes & Noble is an hour and a half to two hours away from me. And I don;t know if that one even stocks it. Where else would I find it?
  19. Steelers fan til the day I die... RIP Mr. Rooney
  20. Thanks everyone... I'm really pleased with how the paint job turned out. I do hope the rest goes as smooth.
  21. How in the world did you accomplish that? Awesome job
  22. Thanks Joe... It's an interesting color to say the least.
  23. So those tires had raised lettering?
  24. Like most of us here, I have several build in various stages... some just started and a few that are almost done. I had decided to just post as I finished... But I find myself wanting to post atleast one wip this year... I'm building my first 69 Nova... for this build, I decided on the COPO kit. It'll be basically box stock.. may wire it, but I really don't know yet. Not a lot to post as of yet. I smoothed out some mold lines and a couple rough spots. Primed it with Testors/Model Master White Primer and sprayed it with Testors/Model Master Citrus Yellow and the ultra gloss clear. Here's where she's at thus far... More to come... as always, thanks for looking!
