  1. Awesome looking build. Love Impalas... And this one rocks!
  2. I was actually off work this weekend… the combination of this, and the fact that it’s been raining since Thursday, I actually got some bench time in over the last couple days… WOOT WOOT… Not really anything to spectacular to add to this, but I have got the chassis and interior put together. Considering how little I’ve done to it in the last week, I’m pretty tickled. As always, thanks for looking...
  3. Awesome builds there.... If you don't mind me asking, what kind of spacers did you add? And was it to the front and back or just the back? That Chevelle is sweet...
  4. WOW... These look awesome. Fantastic paint jobs. And the interior details are sweet. Thanks for sharing! And you weren't kidding about a slow build... Lol.
  5. I dig the 2 foose rides.. and the suburban ain't to bad either. The charger's ok. The Torino don't do anything for me, except for that rockin color lol... But with it and the addition of the 83 Cutlass a year or so ago, I am glad they are dipping into the mid 70s and 80s a little more. Couple rides from that era I would absolutely LOVE to see Revell produce... But all in all, another good offering from Revell. I appreciate it... And thanks for taking the pics and uploading them for us to take a gander, niteowl.
  6. I'm gonna check out that PE set... I haven't ever used one of those either. I have a couple that I'm been meaning to try, but haven't ever gotten around to it. After reading this, I went thru my paint. I came across Model Master Dark Cherry Pearl. I sprayed it on a some sprue, and you're right. It looks to be a dead ringer. WOOT WOOT.
  7. HUBBA HUBBA Hmm... haven't read that sprue method yet. If had only known to sand that kind of stuff off when I was younger, none of this would be an issue. Thing is, I honestly didn't even notice that stuff back then. Now... I look all over for em... You guys have ruined me...lol. I think I'm really leaning towards trying a vinyl top...
  8. I absolutely love all the info you guys bring to the table. Gives me quite a few options to think about... I've never tried to do a vinyl top or convertible. Been reading up on the vinyl. Seems doable... May try it on an older kit I practice painting on sometimes, to see if I can pull it off. How hard is it to do a believable convertible top?
  9. Me too... Please keep it coming... You guys are about to talk me into building 1 or 2.. and getting a couple to use as donors.

Awesome job! I actually really like that chocolate milk interior... Thanks for sharing!
  11. I agree.. just to sit and look at all the builds, and the creativity... I love it.
  12. Steve, I still absolutely love that build... Fantabulous!
  13. Awesome! Good to know and thanks for the info...
  14. Looking for a bit of insight... Can someone tell me, are these relatively one and the same kit? Is the AMT just the MPC kit rebranded or a different beast entirely? Information, stories... good and horror... about building. Any and all info you care to share. Thank ya much!
  15. I remember being young, and saving the "flag points" off the back of my G.I. Joe's. Save enough and you got to send them in (plus $$$ shipping and handling) and get a free Cobra Commander, Sgt. Slaughter, or the Crimson Guard.. yeah I'm a dork... Allow 8-10 weeks for delivery. I remember being so excited... But over the 8-10 weeks... Or longer... my brother and I would forget all about it. My parents never ranted and raved about Hasbro not calling or letting them know what was taking so long... Im just making a general statement. Not aimed at anyone. Just saying relax, and see what happens before you go bat shiz crazy. I ordered from the Jeremy sometime in the middle of Feb. Haven't heard a thing. It'll get here when it gets here. It it could get here in 2 days, you could order it off Amazon.
  16. small_scale_auto_show, nothing_but_model_cars, round2models, revellusa, model_car_show... for models. 70sstreetmachines and gbodyonly... for cars and a few guitar related things... though I don't get on there often. I just have it to follow my sons highschool band when they post pictures.

  21. Happy Easter fellow styrene junkies!
  22. Thanks for the ideas on the top. Definitely gonna have to look into that. You're idea for the Buick is pretty cool... Don't worry, won't steal it... But definitely think that would rock.
  23. go ahead, bro.. it could steer me in the right direction. i actually have a vinyl top from model car garage. But i don't have any trim material for it. I wouldnt even know what size to get for it.
  24. Oh man, I don't even know where to start. I don't know if I want to go muscle car... Pro touring... Grocery-go-getter... IDK...
