This is the Revell/Monogram 1/24 scale '71 GTX kit... It gave me a few fits during the final few steps, but all in all I'm pleased with how it turned out. I really enjoy the Monogram kits. Paint is Testors MM Dark Bronze Metallic Decals from Firebird Designs. Wheels and tires from Fireball Modelworks. Highly recommend them all. Gonna try to get outside today, and snap some pictures. Hopefully... Anyway, as always thanks for looking!

I have a few touch ups to do here and there, but I'm bout ready to call this one done... Let me say, I just love when everything on a kit goes as planned, then you screw everything up in the final stages. It was like everything I touched at the end was bound and determined to ruin it all, then lost the Plymouth circle decal for the emblem after it was already on the car for a day... and then I glued my fingers to the bottom of the front end, and ripped all the clear, paint, and primer off trying to get unstuck...ugh... Oh well, you live and learn... and rinse and repeat... Next post will probably be in the Under Glass section... unless I screw up something else... As always, thanks for looking.

It's yours, dude. who cares if it was an option. Build it the way you want and see it in your head. As long as you dig it, no one else's opinion matters. Panther pink with a viper engine... Rock on!

Thanks, Joe! Those are resin tires from Fireball Modelworks.. Really good stuff. He does have decals, too... I have some, and they look great, but I haven't used them yet.

Went to my lead guitarists wedding today. Nice ceremony.. The 4 of us in the band came up with a prank to pull on the new bride. She's a teacher... We got together a glue stick, a highlighter, #2 pencil and a small pack of crayons. Right before the bouquet toss, the groom slipped away to "hit the head". We handed off the items and slipped all of them up his sleaves. When it came time to take off the garter, Van Halen's "Hot for teacher" started... he pulled all these out, one at a time... The look on her face and eruption from the crowd were great... fun times! Before I left I put the body, interior and chassis together... Not going to give a full on look... It's getting closer and I'm liking the look to say the least. Can't wait to finish it up.

A friend of mine has a Pantera... or had. I haven't talked to him in a couple years, so I don't know if he still has it. Wicked cool car. And you sir, nice score!

Thank ya much!! Got the wheels and tires on today... Mopar Steelie's and BF Goodrich from Fireball Modelworks. Awesome stuff, I do recommend them. I jacked up one on the other side... Looks like a drivers side only display. Got the center caps drying at the moment. Oddly enough, I had the card backer standing up and it fell about the time I snapped the picture. Figured I'd just use it... talk about product placement lol.

Thanks, Carl and Doug.. I appreciate it! That would be a nice addition to have a grill like that.

My first Superbird looked exactly like the blue, except mine had a black hood and trunk. I've been considering rebuilding it too. Definitely gonna follow along.

Thanks, Joe.. I appreciate it! Definitely not as easy as it used to be..better skills but hands not as steady , go figure.. lol. One final update for the night, and possibly the weekend.. got the interior mocked up and the engine mounted...

Got a little more work done tonight... Got some detail on the dash.. thought I had some guages, but I guess I've misplaced them. a little detail on the interior. Some engine work... Glad to have made a little bit of progress this weekend. Who knows when I'll get anything else done to it. Oh well, such is life... As always, thanks for looking!

Not alot of progress made.. life gets in the way.. I did however get some clear sprayed.. This is after a couple mists and 2 wet coats. There is still a lil bit of a bump around the decals, so I'd like to put another coat or so on... But I'm really thinking about leaving well enough alone, before I screw something up. Still have to smooth it out... Hopefully I can make a lil more progress soon.

Thanks everybody.. I always wanted to get another judge, but for some reason I never did.
