Great detail. Awesome build!!

Thanks everybody, I appreciate it! Not a lot of progress this week, since work has picked back up... It never slowed down. That's just what they say so we don't revolt. I really need to find a better day job..lol.

Sorry for taking so long... This is the latest reincarnation of the 1/24 scale Revell/Monogram GTX.. It has the GTX grill, with emblem. Probably going with the kits 440 on this one... I'm piecing together things for another one later on, that'll be a lil bit different.

yeah, I actually had them sagging to begin with. Then I ended up cutting them to short an had to straighten them out some. Now there's more of a bow than a sag... Live and learn I guess. Thanks everyone, I appreciate it!

While finishing up the 67 Chevelle, I got started on another kit that I had originally built long ago.. Already saw in my head how I wanted this one to go. So I started with the body work and paint.. sanded off all the badges, mold lines and what not, then laid down a coat of primer. After that dried, I covered it with Testors Dark Bronze Metallic, then covered that with the Ultra Clear Gloss...b'cuz I couldn't get the decal to even begin to lay right, I masked it off and hit it with some flat black.. then added decals from FireBird Designs... Didn't take a lot of progress pic up to this point, but here's where I'm at... Still have to add the 440 decals, but I don't know which to use... firebirds are a tad large and not really meant for the fenders, so I'll probably go with the kit ones... We'll see...

This is Revell's 1967 Chevelle... Paint is Tamiya Gunmetal, cleared with Testors One Coat Wet Look. Built box stock with the "modern" look. Added plug wires... my first attempt... As always, thanks for looking!

Well, I think I'm gonna call this one... After looking at it, I kinda dig it without the decals. I can always add them later on if I feel the need. Gonna add this one last photo here, to kinda tie it up... Gonna add this over to the "Under Glass" with the rest of the photos. Thanks for the interest, the comments, and as always thanks for looking...

Dang Joe, I can see that at a car show right now, with a sneeze guard and bibs to keep the drool away... Looking killer.. -
Looking good.. diggin that stance

Thanks... Yeah, these are the extra wheels in the in the version with the black and orange on the box, and also the latest one with the red one on the box. I've been toying with getting that one of the bay for a while now... just never pulled the trigger yet. Always finding something else I want more... and something else.. and something else...

Thanks Richard, I do appreciate it. Got the body, interior and chassis joined this morning. This has me looking at it... wondering if I will use the badge decals now at all... I've stared at it, and think it would look good with them, but I'm kinda digging the look without. Idk, we'll see. Anyway, off to set up for a gig tonight. Me and the band haven't played more than maybe twice all year, which is kinda odd.. should make for an interesting night. Have a good saturday folks.

Good job! I always wanted one of those in high school.. I love El Caminos.

Looks awesome! Good job! There's always been a few hotwheels that I wish where actual kits.. I'd be down..

Thanks, Joe! I do appreciate it.. Not as good as that sweet panel you got going on, but I'm liking it so far. Work picked up this week for the End of Month rush, so I really haven't had any time to work on the Chevelle this week. Made a little progress with the front and rear bumper... Tried to sit the body, interior and chassis together tonight... and wouldn't you know it, fitment issue. Trying to "finesse it" together... SNAP... 2 of the windows popped out and the dash came loose. Ok, maybe finesse is a little of an understatement. Either way, I'm sitting waiting on things to dry in place again. Then it's try, try again.

It definitely changes my outlook on that car... I absolutely hated it til your build popped up. I dig that one.

Thanks, I appreciate.. nice musical references as well..

After searching through my parents basement this past week to find a "I know I built one of those", I ran across what might be the only kits I have left... in descent shape anyway... I do have some brutally destroyed ones. They look like a hwy pile up. I do have a few more boxes to go thru, so who knows. Anyway enough of the boring story... I remember being pleased with how they came out... still am with portions, especially considering I only had Wally World rattle cans and brush enamel... and they bring back some great memories... ahhh to go back.. Anyway, Thanks for looking!

That is one slick Riviera... Thanks for sharing!

It was released thru monogram and revell... There's a 78 w/ camper, a royal knight, one w/ bass boat, and 2 lowriders (a 3n1 that can be built stock and royal knight, camper custom, and lowrider. And also a 2n1). I have several of the lowrider kit in my stash, but have never built one til now. gives you idea what to look for on thE bay
