    My 2015

These were my last 2 chevelles in the stash from back in the day... then I found out they had discontinued it. Unfortunately for you guys though, but great for me is, I've acquired like 6 or so more of these kits and 2 of the BM kits over the year through various lots and trades lol.

Thanks.. the first chevelle was the first model I built this year... so also makes it the first model in 15ish years lol. Found the color by accident, and bought it to paint a guitar with... used the model as practice. The second chevelle was inspired by a random pic off google... Changed it up a tad to my liking for the build.
  4. Thanks guys! I still don't know about some of the direction... I can kinda see it in my head though

  8. None.. that I know of anyway.
  9. I've got a couple builds planned for the winter months... but this one, is the one I'm starting first. Here is the 2 kits I'm planning on using for this build... I have to say, the wagon is a nice kit... I really could find much at all that needed to be fixed. Good enough for me anyway. Been trying to figure out what I want to do with it, since I opened the kit... paint, engine, hood, etc.. All I have so far is the paint scheme. The inspiration for the paint came from looking for ideas for another build. I really love using google to search for custom paint jobs. Google is where I found this... Not going to be exactly like it, but it spoke to me. I washed the body, and primed it with Testors custom lacquer gray. smoothed it out some. Then came back in this weekend and sprayed my colors. Decided on Testors one coat Blazin Black and Revving Red... flames by FlameMasks.com.. Nice flame masks. I really dig em. As always, thanks for looking!
  10. That's some good lookin builds you have there.. Good job!
  11. It definitely is... So many options, and toys, and tools, paints, and access to the internet (when I was building before, we didn't have a computer yet)... and the ideas... holy cow...

    My 2015

Thank ya much! Unfortunately no.. and it's wrapped up, under my parents Christmas tree. It turned out really nice... except for the passenger side front suspension. That wheel ended up sitting crooked. Irritating... Terrible, terrible front end under that model.

  15. Cool... I'll have to see if I can find them. I'm still feeling my way around... and don't quite understand the search feature just yet.

  19. This is.... is.... WOW... Great job!
  20. This model... which happens to be my favorite kit and the 3yrs of this body style my favorite car... was the first glue kit I ever had. I had built a few snap kits here and there, but never a glue kit. My dad bought this for me, for "being good" at a relatives house that I didn't like...IRCc. Originally I put it together without paint, because it was molded in blue. No paint, no decals... then like a month later I dismantled it, painted the body and seats with krylon black, and added the decals. It stayed that way for years. Was dropped, banged around, and then the dreaded shelf fall (That destroyed many of my kits) which left it in pieces. I salvaged what I could, and rebuilt it again... without head headlights, and a few other pieces as well. Couple months back, I decided to redo the whole... took the original kit, and pieces from another chevelle that was destroyed and rebuilt, to make a complete build. Here's some pics... Thanks for looking!
  21. Thanks Bruce, It definitely does! Cheers!
  22. Thanks Joe... and for the push. I'm already diggin it lol
  23. Thanks Mark, I just restored my very first glue kit, just a lil while back... for the 3rd time... I'm proud of it this time, like I was the first time round. Look forward to seeing your stuff!
  24. This is awesome! The color is great!.. the stance.. the wheels (which I've been looking for, for a year)... makes me want one!
  25. Hello folks... I was a model builder up til about 15 years ago, when my son was born. Packed up all my unbuilt kits into basement storage, to do the father thing... Fast forward to present... Bought the kiddo his first glue kit last christmas, and started helping him work on it... and reborn was an ADDICTION. I've dug out the unbuilt kits, bought new kits, and started planning on paint schemes and what not. I forgot just how much I loved this hobby. I dabble mostly in 60's and 70's cars. oh yeah... lil warning label.. I LOVE Chevelles! Just wait, you'll see...lol I look foward to seeing your builds and learning some tricks of the trade along the way.
