In january, the company I worked for lost their 3pl contract. They were replaced with another quickly and the transition took place roughly 6 months ago. The new company was gracious enough to hire on the people in the warehouse, and let them keep their "years employed". 2 months ago I was approached to be a supervisor for a new product line coming in. I thought it over and decided that I would indeed take the job. Filled out the application for "formalities" and had an my interview. During the interview I was told I'd be traveling to another state for training in what is now a week away... but before it can become official, since I had actually been with the company only 6 months he would have to get permission to give me the job. I asked why he hadn't already done that? and that he had made it seem like a done deal. I was told not to worry about it, all he had to do was say this is what he wanted and it would go through. Get your affairs in order, the plane leaves on the the 13th... today... "Hey... ummm... they denied the request because you haven't been here long enough."
