  1. Jeff, for someone who has not built a model in 30 years I'd have to say you have not lost your touch! Good job and I'm sure your friend will treasure it. Glen
  2. Thanks Scott and best of luck on your project hope it goes smooth. Glen Tim, Dave Strickler and Bill Jenkins made an awesome duo wonder how it would have gone if Dave had not died so young. Glen Thanks very much for taking the time to view and comment. Glen
  3. Thanks to all that responded I do appreciate it. BTW the subject specific decals were from Fred Cady and the rest were Slixx. Glen
  4. This is my group challenge entry for the postponed RTS show. Thanks for taking a look. Glen
  5. Yes, he did small scale military subjects. Also if your local hobby shop has a bulletin board you might be able to advertise it there. Glen
  6. Chris, just a thought. I had a Badger spray booth before I upgraded to the Pace and I was able to sell it locally on Craigslist. Might be worth a shot before you try to modify it. Glen
  7. Chris do yourself a favor and continue to use a mask when spraying. The Pace booth does an awesome job but why risk it. Glen
  8. Chris, I've had their 24 inch Super Mini for a while now and it's a rugged quality product. I don't use it with spray cans as I feel the amount of paint you get out would really cut into the filter life. It does an excellent job pulling the overspray/fumes out the exhaust. I would recommend taking a look at the Super Mini as the built in light and separate switches for the fan and light are a nice features. Good luck, Glen
  9. Fred, great job it looks just so right. Glen
  10. "In light of the current public health situation, the RTS model show in Taunton, MA, that was scheduled for March 22nd is being postponed until further notice. RTS will advise about future plans as additional information becomes available."

  12. For me trying to assemble these overproduced Round2 reissues takes the enjoyment out of building models, so for a while now I just don't purchase them. I feel it's good money after bad. I'm also hoping that the new owners of Revell will step up their game a little and get closer to the quality/accuracy bullseye . Glen
  13. Seeing this car in person at the MASSCAR show a number of years ago was a treat for me. The more I looked the more I found. I seem to recall being traumatized by this kit when I started building as a kid Glen
  14. Excellent job Francis. Your ability to "find" parts in a piece of bar stock is stellar. Glen
  15. Guy, I'm glad Alan suggested you post this build as it's also outstanding! Give some thought to the book idea and keep posting. Glen
  16. The phrase "museum quality" would absolutely apply to your build. Thanks for posting. Glen
  17. Bill, that's a nice, neat clean build and just as important (to me anyways) accurate. So many times when I see this type of car at shows or in magazines they seem to be over the top. Not the case here, great job. Glen
  18. The Abrasive Cleaning Disc from Alpha Abrasives works great on both hobby files and sanding sticks. Glen
  19. Ron the tach came from one of the Revell pro stock/pro mod kits. I added a Slixx decal face and made a bezel from aluminium tubing. The shift light is just a piece of styrene rod. Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving. Glen
  20. Glad to do it and I hope you and your family also have a nice Thanksgiving. Glen
  21. Barry, Stock & Super Stock are the only classes I'm interested in and living in Division 1 I'm able to catch what I feel are some of the best cars in those classes. As far as modeling it's also pretty much what I build. Thanks for your post I do appreciate it. Glen
  22. Ron those wires are Detail Master .0075, the connectors on the EFI controller and on some other components are made by Top Studio. I don't remember where I got them from but I attached a picture of the package for you. The decals are a mostly from Slixx and a few kit decals and yes they are all separate. Also I will once again thank you. Glen
  23. Niko, since you are one that knows your post means a lot. Thanks Glen
  24. OK Ron took some interior pics, not the best shots for sure. Glen
  25. Thanks Ron, I'll try to get a shot of the interior but my photo ability/equipment is limited. The wheels are from Machined Aluminum Specialties (MAS). I was unable to find a TH200 so I used the resin piece you see, in hindsight a TH350 or PG would have been a better choice. Yes the wheelie bar is scratch built, it's based on the ones made by Ken Keir Race Cars. Thanks again I appreciate it. Glen
