  1. I still laff when I hear "digs" and" diggers"> I had a rough time gettin' ahold of those when I was in high school ('61-'65). Maybe we were too far from the action in Tucson.
  2. Learn sumpin every day, "dizzy" is popping up around the automotive internet and confusing most people.Guess it's doing a good job. Google: "slang for distributor" and see what I mean, lots of confused peeps on lots of boards.Notice some are even banning it's use due to the confusion.
  3. Nope. don't see "dizzy"HOT ROD DICTIONARY
  4. You got that right! A real winner.
  5. WOW! eight two barrels ! Lets gets some fuel lines to em. Super job.
  6. just jumps off the page at ya! Awesome! Other board? Is there another board ?
  7. 1/16th Chargers ?, DOH, Street Charger and NASCAR ?
  8. Is that red thing off in the distance, a Hot Wheels Loop ?
  9. Done ? Donald, you're just getting started. You don't have nearly enough kits.
  10. Did you get downtown 1989-1991 ?
  11. Have you seen the '58 and the '59 Corvettes from Revell/Monogram? They are certainly a notch or two above a conversion from a diecast kit.
  12. In 90Lowboys thread "'62 Corvette from hell" Marc @ MPC Motorsports mentioned" The modeling community really could use a modern-tooled 1961-62 Corvette. Revell has a good start with it's beautiful 1959." I agree, I also think Monogram could go one step further and finish out their great (albeit 1/24th scale) Mustang series with a '65-'66 notch back coupe. Can you think of any other series of kits that could benefit from a continuation? How about a Phaeton (tub) and a sedan delivery from Revells super '32 kits ?
  13. maybe this is where it all went wrong ?
  14. Collect unrealistically huge amount of unbuilt model kits = time catalog all of same kits into database = time maintain, update and add to database = time talk about it here on the board = time look at other stuff here on the board = time no time left to build
  15. I do have the kits stored in certain areas, Fords here, MOPARS over there, BIG kits under her.and remember, you can't have too many Cadillac Coupe de Villes or AMT '68 T-birds
  16. I replied to this post earlier and it seems to have disappeared. I keep my inventory in my mind. Going through it occasionally helps me remember where things are. Occasionally you come across a pleasant surprise, Oh, look what I found,I forgot I had that. Did I offend someone with my inclusion of the You-Tube video of the Amboy Dukes "Journey to the center of Your Mind" ?
  17. This is the site that got me thinking about these types of photos :
  18. Inside, at the beginning
  19. Doesn't seem right.I think out of the box means the way it came in the box, before you took it out of the box.I also think if the rigging, antennas, wiring or plumbing didn't come in the box it can't be used out of the box. Now that's just my opinion and I have only judged a few contests.
  20. I remember a long time ago a model magazine or book put out sometime in the early sixty's that had a great article in it about how model kits were made. I'd like to see some articles that get to the source, by someone that takes them to task.
  21. I'm always puzzled with the reasons that come up on the question; What happened to such and such kit? So often the answers given are never really backed up with facts, or the reasons given are easily refuted. Another interesting question came up in another post recently, why do so many of a certain type kit get reissued but the one you want or one that would seem to be a sure fire winner never show? The train wreck that took a lot of the great Aurora kits on their way to Monogram was certainly a disaster, and I understand the manufactures do, from time to time clean house, but wouldn't you like to know whats back their in those dark corners of their storage rooms?
  22. How is wiring and plumbing different from " rigging and antennas" ?
  23. From the press packet for the open house on June 6th 1965
