The BIG flat space (top and bottom) just seem so vulnerable.

Mailing out small parts and 1/24th scale kits doesn't seem too hard. How would you wrap larger 1/12, 1/16th scale kits for mailing?

But they're still mine and I'll do with them as I please.

How many kits can you think of that the manufactures have modified to make something trendy ruining the original to the point where we'll never see it again?

I've learned a few things from this thread, or maybe I have a few questions: 1) It's a bad thing to have too many kits ? I.E. "I'm a builder, not a collector." 2) Some people have more kits than me. See Honey I'm not the only one. 3) WOW! A dedicated room with nothing but kits floor to ceiling. I've got kit's stashed all over the house. 4) I think I know why so many of us has so many kits, at least I've figured out how I got in that situation. Being a long time builder (OK, collector, for some of you), I found myself missing kits that I like. What happened was the "I'll get it later" syndrome. You know, "It'll be there when I want it." Then you go to the hobby shop and, "No. We haven't had That kit for months." So what happens? You buy it, stock up, you never know if they'll stop making it,(how many good kits have manufactures butchered to make make some trendy kit ruining the original?).

It would certainly be a "One UP" on AMT (Double Dragster). Talk about a marketing coup.

Great so far, keep it going. I'm amazed at how many really neat cars there are out there that don't get built. This is a good example of a kool car the deserves to be built.

Sometimes it's hard to find something moon discs work on, this is it.

Yes. All things considered, temperature, humidity, freshness of paint, wind ( I paint out doors), my attention to what I'm doing, it usually comes out OK.
