Reverse Engineering, this term has come up recently in a few threads. I understand the concept but was wondering about the reality. Has anyone actually used this to reintroduce lost kits from lost molds? In many threads about old kits the fact that desirable kits of the past are no longer available because the molds are broken or lost altogether. The Aurora Racing scenes HEMI's come to mind, or maybe the Monogram Sizzler Dragster. Wouldn't that be great going against the AMT Double Dragster ?
I heard on another board that the Carl Casper's Undertaker Dragster was reverse engineered, but I also read elsewhere that it wasn't, so. . . ?
Isn't this why we have closets full of cool stuff ? I thought the number one rule in this hobby was " If you see it, if you want it , BUY IT! Cause it ain't gonna be there next time."
There is a difference between a Sedan delivery and a panel . (Is the Galixie '48 a sedan delivery or a panel?) The sedan delivery is based on a passenger car, whereas the panel is based on a truck, I believe.

I have Hot Rod starting from 1955. I gave up last year.Articles just weren't viable and they rarely finish their projects. Their findings are usually flawed as well,"this didn't work so we *** or we couldn't get a *** so we***". Who has the money to throw around like they do? Much less all the "friends" that just drop by with the missing parts you need or can't afford ?
What motorcycles were available in the parts packs? I know some kits also came with motorcycles and some of those were of parts pack origin. There were also others, a mini bike and a go-cart come to mind.
