  1. I was looking at the Plum Crazy kit in my stash the other day wondering what to do with it. 1) Try to get a decent build out of it, detail etc. 2) Build it right out of the box, no paint. 3) Build it right out of the box with paint 4) Build it right out of the box with paint and BMF. 5) Just leave it alone, it's survived this long.
  2. All this TALK and no "link" to the build.
  3. Sometimes I find myself thinking about the good and bad of old kits, maybe just fond memories? I always liked the beautiful engines in the Jo-Han Comet / Maverick, and was wondering how it could have such a great engine and the rest of the kit so blah ?
  4. Has any one tried a kit bash with an AMT Roadster and a KB slot car body ? I've got the parts waiting on the to build list.
  5. Thanks Mark. That was the one I was thinking about.
  6. Can't find anything in 'search', but I know a new release was talked about from , maybe a Japanese company?
  7. So, then what you are saying is you would rather NOT hear about a new kit if there is no review attached to it ? I just happened upon this at the manufactures site and thought others would be interested . I am sorry if I have breached MCM protocol. Is there a more favorable place to post such information?
  8. No Picture ? No review ? Just wanted to give a heads up on a new kit. I haven't seen one in person, but I do have all the rest built up. My only disappointment was their continuing series on the HEMI when they did the A990 in 1/4th scale instead of the 1/6th scale. That and the fact that 1/6th scale is not compatible to anything with wheels, I.E. the Monogram Hot Rods.
  9. Looks easy enough to make. Two hardware store, paint, stir sticks, a long bolt with a spring and a wing nut and put it together.
  10. Some clothes hanger wire, welding rod a piece of 2x4 a few clothes pins and :
  11. I think I have some in my stash as well, and keeping with this thread, I have no idea where they came from.
  12. MARK II Looks like they were Aluminum.
  13. There you go. Now where did I put Sundays paper? I knew I should have cut that coupon.
  14. So the next question, is it too late to get the fix ?
  15. Was there a problem with the first release of the Lindberg '61 Chevy Impala SS ? Something about the base being too round ?
  16. Thank you both, Mark, George. My thoughts exactly on the details involved. I had no idea.
  17. Is there such a thing as a do it yourself photo etching kit ? Or, are there company's out there like chrome shops and decal makers that will photo etch a part for you ?
  18. How could this be ? I remember going to school at Easter Arizona College in Thatcher Az '65-'67 driving a '56 Chevy and later an MGA. Needing parts for the MG a friend and I went into the big town Safford. Looking around in the back of an auto parts store some one came out , after a short conversation he said "you guys might want to see this" taking us through the shop to the back he showed us a race car with 22 on the side. "You boys know whose car this?"is?" Of course we did. He even let us sit in it. To this day I'm having a hard time wondering how that car got to Safford Arizona. I have another interesting story about how the Summers Brothers GoldenRod got to Sun City ARIZONA (I have Pictures).
  19. Is there an easy way to PM ? How is this done ?
