  1. Funny how close that rear suspension is to a sixties Chevy pick up.
  2. I'm hoping a '36 Ford 3window coupe is on the way. I wonder if there is anything left after the Dick Tracy go ?
  3. I'm going to kit bash a K&B slot car body with an AMT 289 Cobra. A little work with the saw, the body looks pretty good.
  4. Interesting post over at spotlite. Two pros visit the show and can't remember seeing anything interesting.
  5. I shoot I also have an old car
  6. Built a detailed "Two Lane Blacktop"'55 Chevy, with open pass through trunk loaded with tires, jack and tools, sliding Plexiglas side windows, flip front, detailed engine, and a soda can aluminum scoop. The Moonlight Modelers and I sat through the movie and darn near wore out Jerry Keen's remote going back and forth taking notes.
  7. They go the wrong way too.
  8. That's what I did. Bought some Boxed versions. Now I'm thinking there are more parts in the Tin.
  9. Do some Google time, just like many race cars there were many renditions.
  10. Happy Birthday. If you like The Last Open Road by B.S.Levy you have a few more to look forward to.
  11. Or these ?
  12. Like these ?
  13. Alive and kickin' JOHN SEBASTIAN
  14. I walked into a hobby shop and the guy was stocking the shelves with what looked like a modern rendition of the Monogram Sizzler Dragster. I asked him how many he had and that I'd take them all. I got two.Opening up the box I discovered the were 1/25th scale molded in black and white (the dream was in color) So thinking about how models are made in one scale (1/10th I believe) and then changed to what ever the company decides will fit into their box, Ooops. That was back in the day.Any way models are first rendered in a working scale then refitted to the scale that will be marketed. The Hawk HEMI engines are a good example of various kits in varying scales. So this along with reverse engineering I thought Revell/Monogram was going to announce this new release in a more popular scale.
  15. These are available in a couple of kits in 1/24th scale.
  16. I don't see too many that would allow one to build a 1/12 57 Chev into a Pro Mod
  17. I noticed the New AMT DD kit wheels don't have the spindle cover on them.
  18. Not sure what wheels you speak of. Do you have photos?
  19. I have a friend that has all of these maybe a couple times over. I recently ask him if "reverse engineering" was possible would he allow his to be used to reproduce them, he said yes.
  20. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one.
  21. Aren't we pretty well stuck with the three kits Revell did , Corvett, '57 Chevy and the Camaro, as far as 1/12th goes ? Even so there was quite a selection of hot rod parts between the three kits.
