  1. Building model cars since the first issue of the Monogram Long John Dragster 1959. I taught High School auto shop for eight years. I had a model club and a hot rod club then the district cut the industrial program,11 high schools, no shop.

  2. Wow, what a day. It really has been encouraging hearing all the positive comments, thank you all

  3. What style? I grew up in Tucson, early '60's , AHRA, so just about anything goes. Gasser, altered, hot rod.
  4. On the side marker lights, I lived in England in the early fifty's. My Dad had a '54 Ford. To park on the street at night he had to have some form of side marker light. To meet this requirement he purchased a little black rubber 'hicky' with an orange and red light that mounted in the side window when rolled up and plugged into the cigar lighter.
  5. It's the smooth set I was thinking about. But if that was the case I would have used them. As for remembering building that kit, look at the dust on the rims.
  6. Where at? Front, back? How about the rear fenders? Keep 'em or go with something like the ones found on most Willies?
  7. Looking at the instructions, it becomes quite apparent.
  8. Well actually it is. It's just been awhile and I forgot which kit they came from. I was looking at the picture and though it would be cool to duplicate the smooth Buick tail lights that are often used in '55 Chevys.
  9. Thank you Steve. Just seemed like it was from another kit.
  10. The spam was generated from responses within other post. An interesting thing is these are several days in the past.
  11. "Oh they're out there. Ya just have to be willing to look" and pay $$$.
  12. For the past several days many posters on the spotlite board have been receiving unwanted e-mails , usually seven or eight at a time.
  13. Live long and prosper
  14. Maybe this is the year?
  15. A carryover from that other site? They had problems all day yesterday.
  16. More from the "Build a Tee Bucket" site
  17. From "Build a Tee Bucket"
  18. Unlike the call outs for cubic inches the wheel size seems rather obvious. Kinda silly in my opinion.
