  1. Great feature with a bunch of great ideas. Tim Boyd's articles. "Modeler's Corner" from Street Rodder magazine were pretty cool too. It would be nice to see them all published in a book.
  2. Neato, never saw them . What magazine did they come from ?
  3. Like to see this one.
  4. The Blue Whateverwe'recallingittoavoidlicensingfees is at least something that's been gone for a long time, been tooled back to it's origins, and while not something that interests me is a cool piece to see come back to the market. Lots of extra parts as well as some more really Kool Wheels and tires/
  5. Some pretty cool marbles inside too.
  6. Most recent BIG engine models, a blown Chevy Small Block, and a 427 Cobra
  7. Probably like so many other things someone just changed the name or. something else took it's place in the enthusiast eye, 200 MPH tape, ( duct Tape), "Dizzies" ?
  8. The link works but I don't see any 1/16th Daytona stuff
  9. Yep. Check out the 40-40 scoop thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/128087-cal-custom-40-40-scoops-which-kit/
  10. As our recently departed ( Non Automotive) Friend would say, " Shazam!" Now that, my friends ( all of you that contributed positively ) is what this board is all about'. A "Gracious" Thank you to all especially Ron Hamilton and Ron Savoie, and of course Chris Drysdale for prompting me on another thread as to the origins of these Scoops. Yes! 1965, I had several Mustang kits so s where I remember them from. Now to hit the stash and see if thar original AMT Fastback Mustang still has some in it,
  11. Not so sure, check out this site, http://coffincorner.proboards.com/thread/15681 Just the wrong shape
  12. and a point of clarification, I didn't modify the scoops. I do notice the front one on the build up is a little bit better than the back one. Funny thing is, I don't remember ever owning the Invader kit or anyone that did, but that was a long time ago.
  13. Mr. Watson my dear misguided friend, the carbs and manifold are from the original AMT '32 Roadster HEMI. another dead end in the search for the origins of the Cal-Custom CARBURETOR scoops. There is no debate here as to the availability of the Cal_Custom cast aluminum style BOLT-ON HOOD scoop in the early Revell '55 - '57 Chevy kits, as was never stated other than "Mark's" post. You seem to have a bug up your butt about something I've said or done. Whatever it is I am truly sorry. Hope you get over it. All I'm trying to do here is ascertain the origins of the two scoops i dug out of my parts bin with a cloudy 70 year olds memory thinking they were from an original Revel kit I built in 1962. This oldsters memory seems to be the crux of all this. Again I am truly sorry for the confusion. So maybe you and Mark could put your brains together and come up with the origin of those CARBURETOR scoops. Chris Drysdale and I would appreciate that as I'm sure would a few others.
  14. Long in the tooth, needs another look.
  15. Ok, here's a few in my line up. let me know if you need help identifying any of them.
  16. Oooops. I was obviously thinking 1/25th and NOT reading 1/32nd on the box. Lindberg did one in 1/25th as well. Also K-B did a very nice slot car body. There's one in my stash with the AMT chassis in mind.
  17. Not much there. But stick an AMT Chassis under it . . .
