  1. Yes they are. Ma's Resin also had these wheels and tires, although the tires are cheater slicks.
  2. What ever turns yer crank. If you lust after a certain car, everything you can get. I have all sorts of scales on '69 Chargers, and yes, a few Dukes of Hazzard, how can you not; As for the rest, there's always something in a different scale that just tips yer boat.
  3. Building up some fenderwell headers which way is the easiest to go ? From the heads out to the collector or from the collector up to the heads ? Lots of room, the fender wells are gone and it's on a jacked up tube axle with skinny wheels and tires.
  4. Suicide doors
  5. The "Chrome Pen " being by Molotow ?
  6. Got the light blue one. Saw one on Ebay in Yellow. The Two door was reissued once by it's self. Don;t know if it was stock or the custom or both.
  7. Like to see the "Little Deuce" version again along with the "Little Tee"
  8. Very nice work there TĂșlio Lazzaroni, thank you for the inspiration. That's what i was looking for.
  9. It's typical of the original AMT Hot Rod offerings with a few more details and a great Buick Nailhead
  10. I think we need to realize there is a very wide gap in our hobby between those like Bill, that know and understand the workings of an automobile and the other end, which always surprises me, that knowes little and could really care less about the same. I got into the automotive field many years ago through my learning the whys and wherefores of the automobile through building model cars. Of course the instruction sheets were much more attuned to learning then than they are today with just pictures. It always surprises me today when I come across people in the hobby that know little or nothing about the goings on inside the vehicle they build. There is a prodigious builder on this board that constantly wins contest yet admits to knowing little about what he builds and furthermore says he doesn't care. It really takes all kinds.
  11. Me personally, am enjoying a renewed relationship with the original AMT Hot Rods.
  12. The many faces of our hobby. Many of us older builders are faltering in the eye site, steadiness of hand and just the will to tackle some of the newer kits with so many parts we fall back to what we know and love.
  13. Now, on the Silly Putty, what happens to the paint on the putty when you're done ?
  14. Man some great stuff here. And Richard, more and more that's where I'm headed. Thanks.
  15. More modern than what I usually build, Tee buckets, Model A's Gassers
  16. I agree, Much of what we do in modeling is based on our nostalgia.
  17. You're not alone Jeff,. Many of us are reverting to the "Nostalgia" build style.
  18. Ok, I've given the chassis pan a squirt of flat black. Now how do I mask off the frame, keeping it black, to paint the rest of it ?
  19. Is this another nail in the Model Hobby's coffin ?, one of many.
  20. U.S.Navy 1969- 1974 AMS-2 , NAF Nahan Okinawa Lets remember this is Veterans day to honor the Veterans, Not Memorial day Honoring those that have past.
  21. Looking in the "Search" section for some information on chassis painting / detailing and many articles came up, minus most of the photos. Is this another nail in the Model Hobby's coffin ? Sure made for a frustrating search.
