  1. That was my first thought. Then i remembered the '55- '56 Chevy i saw in college. Had me going for a few days. Walking to class i was looking at a nice '55 Chevy. Coming home i saw a very similar '56. then one day it dawned on me. "Hey! That's the same car". '55 in front and "56 in back. Or was it the other way around ?

  3. Crappy "Promo" style chassis, but Katy bar the door on the engines and headers, none better in any other kit.
  4. Almost like they went "The other way" from the original 1/20th ? Sizzler. why couldn't they just leave well enough along and give us a great nostalgia kit.
  5. Small block Chevies, 265 - 400 Pontiac 326- 454 Small block MOPAR 273 - 360 Big block Mopar 413- 440 and many others, cubic inches varying and approximate.
  6. However, just like so many different engines, they look the same on the outside only differences being the boar and stroke, i.e. CID. I thought it was a 413.
  7. and this is one of the reasons i Repost much of this. Many here are new and would never think to look for this type of thing. I also feel there is a smaller group posting here now with the loss of Photobucket. I like to do my part in keeping the hobby alive through history and information.
  8. Ok, I 'll grant you the Webers in the old Accurate Miniature's Grand Sport Corvettes are pretty remarkable.
  9. . . . Carburetor ? There are some really amazing resen carbs out there, but you'd be hard pressed to find anything other than an unidentifiable lump of plastic in most kits.
  10. Foreign voice you can hardly understand, "Sorry, Wrong Number."
  11. Revelogram couldn't do to bad repopping these old kits in their original form much the same way Round2 is doing with their old AMT iconic kits. As I get older (70 ) I am finding the older. smaller parts count. kits more to my liking. Right now I'm really getting into the original release AMT kits with a great interchangeable engine option. Not sure they planed it that way, but most of the engines in those old kits interchange perfectly. Open the gates, let the plastic flow.
  12. Yes, BIG honkin Chevy V8 scare ya to death GTO. No scoop plastic, later scoop hood diecast
  13. My son has a 1:1 later car with the hood scoops, had to go with a dicast version to get one for him, still a nice kit.
  14. Revelogram couldn't do to bad repopping these old kits in their original form much the same way Round2 is doing with their old AMT iconic kits.
  15. Me Too, great kits then and now
  16. Man , couldn't ask for a bunch of nicer kits. I like 'em all.
  17. Yes indeed, Looking at the original bunch of AMT kits as well. '32 Fords, "36,'40 coupe/Sedan
  18. Had a friend that did that to his wife's VW Bug. he was also a great artist and modeler, Robert Allen.
