if you can find it,AMT also made a street machine version of the 71 charger kit with the hood you are looking for.not sure of the kit#.it was orange on the box keith marks makes a superbee hood decal.

thanks for the comments guys.the colors will be green and black based on a real 66 nova coupe i seen at a local car show back in the summer.the engine wiil be the kit engine mated to a automatic trans from the AMT 70 monte carlo kit.i have not decided on a interior color yet.i hope to have some updates soon.

i just started working on this one.a bandit resins body using a amt 66 nova doner kit.the wheels are from the revell 50 ford truck kit.the front tires are from revell honda tuner kit.the chrome was stripped from the front bumper and the grill was removed so i can put a model car garage photoetched non SS grill in it.i should have it painted by this weekend.here are a couple of pics.

i finished up my GTO.the color is Duplicolor Bahama Blue Lacquer.the is PPG Omini Urethane.the wheels are from the revell 37 ford coupe with pegasus sleeves/tires on the rear.the front tires are from parts box.the kit engine has a modifed optional intake from the revell 67 vette coupe with bandit resins velocity stacks.it also has a bandit resins coil,scale dreams optima battery and detail master plug wires and looms.the headers are from the revell 68 firebird kit.the exhaust was scratchbuilt and the borla mufflers are resin copys from the revell 98 saleen mustang kit.the interior has model car garage seat belt buckles and white face gauges off a revell srt magnum kit sheet.i'm looking foward to our next club build.thanks for looking.

here is a update.the chassis finished.i got the stance i wanted.the engine is mocked up to check for clearance issues with the hood on.i need to finish the engine and adding foil to the body.this will be the last update.i hope to finish it up this weekend.thanks for looking.

i saw the hood conversion at our last club meeting.a smooth and very clean casting.eric does some nice work.

here are more pics.the kit engine was used.the intake is the optional weber style from the revell 67 corvette modifed to fit the kit intake.the metal stacks are bandit resin items.the m/t valve covers are from the AMT 76 nova kit.i finshed the interior last weekend.i cleared the body last week using omni 2 part urethane.it still needs to be polished out.more updates soon.
