  1. True, it's a great time to be an enthusiast . . . with money. And, the brand loyalty vs brand loyalty thing has been going on since the second car was started up. But, check out the June 2014 issue of Hot Rod Magazine for the (new) Z28 vs (new) Boss 302 Laguna Seca. Numbers are right there for you. And I agree, different strokes for different folks. Many people don't agree with you. If you don't like GM, that's okay, just say "I don't like GM." No need to bash, that just made your first post inappropriate rather than opinion. (And that's not me bashing, just speaking the truth.) And, you certainly made Lee's prognostication golden. No bad will here. Go forth and enjoy your blue ovals. I have one, too, but I don't believe it's the only answer to motoring.
  2. LOL. That's almost PRECISELY the same thought I had as I viewed the model and before I saw Bill's comment. Yikes! But true! Great capture of the iconic era of showcar customs. Neat!!

    55 Bel-Air

    VERY nice!!!
  4. She said "it's an old house. Built in 1969. I think it was before levels were invented". Sounds like an ex-car salesperson trying to cash in on the housing market! Sales people in the car business will say anything!
  5. Nice.
  6. That is just overly cool, Jameston! What a concept. Custom Sci-Fi. Thanks for posting it. PS: We missed you at DSC-10. Hope you had a great time at Seattle ~ despite the foot.
  7. Beautiful bug!
  8. Nice.
  9. Hopefully it won't work like the Columbia Record Club. How many people had their credit histories damaged by those vultures?
  10. Excellent. Love those Edsels!
  11. Nice. Love them '69 'Maros!
  12. Wow. That's nice! And bright!
  13. Sometimes knowing too much about a life-long dream car can be disappointing. By the way, that has absolutely nothing to do with your project, Henry.
  14. I commented elsewhere in another similar thread . . . this thing looks awkward. Some styling cues and lines just don't work when transplanted to a stubby box-shape. The fluid, flowing lines of the Superbirds and Daytonas of old just don't work on the short, stubby, too-tall Challenger of today. I agree with Bill. Having said that, paint it red and call it "Speed." The kids will love it. As is, in black, it'll just cause a lot of nightmares.
  15. Sorry. There's just nothing legitimate that can be done with that front end, IMHO. Those kits belong in the cartoonish caricature department. Although that mini-pumper looks as good as that kit ever can.
  16. Beautiful build, Matt. I'm not big on the Japanese brands, but you've made this one well worth admiring.
  17. What planet do you inhabit?? Here on Earth, the new Z28 is far from 'underwhelming.' Saying it needs air conditioning is like saying an Indy car needs a trailer hitch. Different worlds. The new Z28 embodies automotive excitement like no other real world car save for Corvette and Viper. Kudos to GM.

    Definitely mean green! Sinister.
