  1. Very nice!
  2. Let me see . . . do I have enough in the ole stash to keep myself busy?
  3. Niiiice. Twice.
  4. Good point. I didn't even look at the picture in post# 101 until you pointed it out. Goofy generic looking star. Probably a licensing issue. CHP probably wants money for their $tar. And, another good point is the police dog markings. No way a 2dr coupe is going to be used for a dog, especially not a smal 2dr coupe. WOULD IT BE SO HARD TO FIND A KNOWLEDGEABLE CONSULTANT FOR THESE EMERGENCY VEHICLE KITS, BEFORE THEY'RE PUT ON THE MARKET? Like the Rat Roaster ... so close but then so far off target at the same time.
  5. Much like the '57 Ford. It also has K-9 decals but I don't recall police agencies having K9 markings on cars that early. There were a few agencies using police service dogs in the mid-60's but it didn't become common until the mid- to late-70's. K-9 markings and warnings and caution signs on police cars are more recent developments.
  6. I believe Danbury did the Chili Catallo '32 coupe (the blue one that appeared on the Little Deuce Coupe album jacket). No model kit has been produced. However, Monogram put out a kit they called "The Little Deuce Coupe" in the Rockin' Rods series, with a little licensing nod to the Beach Boys. But, the album car? No.
  7. Well, I also thought Canada was in North America. To me, they're American made regardless of where the dadburn river is. Or the lake. Or the dotted line on the map. American made is good enough. Or, American assembled. {PS: My Malibu is a Californian. My S10 is a Canadian. My Volkswagen Passat is a Tennesseean. My Model AA is from Dearborn. The Lovely and Gracious Mrs. B is Scottish and Irish. I'm English and Swedish. Our dog is Dutch. We all get along just fine. }
  8. Von Zip: I've wondered about that stuff. Thanks for the info! I'll give it a try.
  9. Terry ~ Congratulations!! Good on you. Harry ~ Richard Simmons? Really? I can't undo that image from my mind, either! Yikes.
  10. Are you allowed to say that here?
  11. 'Scratch built' . . . or kit-bashed? And, it's a nice wagon, but as Steve points out, it's not a Vista Cruiser. The Vista Cruiser had the raised rear roof section with the tinted side and front "windows."
  12. OR, Here's what I use. Works great! MUCH cheaper! Methyl Ethyl Ketone . . . AKA: MEK Available in gallons or quarts. Trust me ... a little goes a long way. I can't imagine needing a gallon. A quart will last half of forever. I just put a little in a small glass jar for the workbench (in fact, I use my last Tenax container so I have the built-in brush). Check your local paint or hardware store for pricing.

    Excellent!!
  14. Sorry to hear that. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
  15. Okay. I didn't know there was such a thing as a dry track!
  16. Very cool build! Great looking dirt racer, but wouldn't there be a bunch of mud splatter behind those tires on the quarter panels and front fenders? Looks like the tires extend beyond the sheet metal. Still a great looking build, just needs some splatter to look even better.
  17. Nice.
  18. Wow.
