    Kewl.
  4. Hey! By those definitions, I'm a "Novice," too! Move over, kids. I don't see the term "professional builder" in the rules, but, okay, you're a professional builder! Just make sure all your entries are in the "Advanced" category so we "Novices" won't have to compete with you "pros!"
  5. Nice. Love the color!
  6. Ahhhhh, yes. Corduroy to replicate tuck-n-roll "upholstery!" Good to see it again. Haven't seen that used in decades, but it was 'the real thing' in the 60's in the modeling world. Squint your eyes a little (to blur out the fiber "hairs") and it looked just like tuck-n-roll. Goes hand-in-hand with the old days' sewing thread for spark plug wires. Nice model, Ron, especially considering its age.
  7. Colors = nice. Rolling stock = (with all due respect) ugh. Just not my cup of tea, but to each his own. That's what makes the world go 'round.
  8. Most excellent, Jim!
  9. x 2!
  10. Oh, yes. There will be a barbeque. It's a Desert Scale Classic tradition! Just a different venue this year. Relax. Just a little good-natured teasing, you dweeb.
  11. Harry, old JW {AKA Jonathan, AKA Martinfan5(5)} is the world's only Mute DJ. We had him spin the Sixties Hits at our Desert Scale Classic 8 After-Event Barbeque. He's the only Mime-DJ in the world! He wouldn't talk and didn't announce any records. Guess he saved a lot of money on his portable sound system by not having to buy a microphone! Dangest thing I ever saw. But, give him a keyboard ...
  12. Nice!
  13. Mama doesn't let you out much, does she?
  14. Oh . . . my!

    Nice.
  16. Beautiful!!!! The '58 Chevy is one of my very favorite cars of the '50s. Gorgeous in those colors!
  17. It's all in the numbers, Harry. As the article I quoted above mentioned, there are only a handful of kids killed annually inside school buses in traffic colllisions as compared to the thousands upon thousands of passenger car occupants killed annually ~ especially before seatbelt laws and the advent of airbag technology. Just think about commercial airliners ~ passengers are allowed to un-belt during flight and only REQUIRED to be belted during take-off and landing (and in areas of turbulence). Why? Because statistically few passengers are killed or injured mid-flight ... the real life-safety perils are during landing and take-off.
  18. Nice job on a tough kit.
  19. Nice. The clear really perks up the bare plastic!
  20. Nice pair! Beautiful color.
