  8. Sweet! Excellent decalling, Mark.
  9. Most excellent,Tom! Are those spotlights representations of the old Unity Mirror Spotlights? I think there were spotlights like these in the old Hubley 1/24 kits. Sound right?
  10. Sweet!
  11. Continuous awesomeness!
  12. There is, Mark. We've mentioned it before, and it's on the calendar. But, there've been so many other things going on locally, we've tried not to step on toes. A few of us were in Tucson yesterday for their swap meet and first model car contest. Promotion for Desert Scale Classic 9 will kick off tonight. Jonathan is correct ... third Saturday of April. Every year. This year it's April 20. ( * We try to provide some geographic balance to that other contest that's taking place that same Saturday ... since not everyone can travel to Joisey. ) Same location: The Postal Workers Social Hall in Phoenix. Same hours. Same admission (none). Same entry fees. Same swap meet. Same contest format. Same raffle. Same Make-n-Take for kids. Same refreshments. Same ... wait for it ... after-event barbeque get-together. Great food, great beverages, great friends, great stories, a visit to the inner sanctum of one of the area's best modelers, and hot rod music presented by the World's Only Mime-DJ! Same advance online contest entry registration (it'll be updated and up-and-running shortly). Same great place to get together with modelers from all over the Southwest. Same GREAT weather. Same great event to visit and enjoy before heading north to GSL. Questions answered ... most for free!
  13. Killer! Even more so ... in person! Go, Brad, go!
  14. Not in Wyoming. "Summer" is the season when Fall, Winter, and Spring thaw out. For a few weeks.
  15. Chuck Granger was originally from upstate New York, but relocated to Arizona in the 90's. He worked at a couple of hot rod shops as a fabricator and his passion was drag racing, street rods, and led sleds. As a modeler, he was a member of Moonlight Modelers since 1995 and was a prolific builder of inspirational traditional street rods, beautiful 50's customs, and gassers. He didn't post on this or any other forum, but if you'd like to see his work, check out the "Contests" page at www.Moonlighmodelers.com and peruse the various monthly meeting subpages. His work also appeared frequently in the MCM and SA(noE) contest issues. You'll find his models in many years' coverages of COPPERSTATE Model Car Championship events, Desert Scale Classic events, GSL, and some of the Southern California events. Chuck had no health/hospitalization insurance as a result of being laid-off. He was found unconscious near his workbench, after suffering an aneurysm and massive stroke. An ambulance transported him to a nearby hospital, they called an air-evac medical helicopter to transport him to a regional cardiac trauma center. *let's leave the medical and political comments out, please* Moonlight Modelers holds an annual fund-raising auction of donated kits, tools, paints, supplies, books, magazines and related memorabilia. This year we decided to dedicate the auction to Chuck's memory (he was alwas an enthusiastic bidder!) and to donate 100% of the proceeds to his family. Chuck is missed.

  18. G, Glad to hear all is well and you're back . . . and back to normal. And, you're right. Mrs. G is a keeper!
  19. A) True dat. Agreed. If one's hot, the other should sell a few, too.
  20. Hey, Art. Let's get thorough here. Don't forget a dose of Double B's! Wouldn't that be fun?
  21. There you go. In my younger days, I was purely Dudley Dooright. But now ... I know more people, I know more people better, and I've known more people longer ... Voila! Snidely P. Whiplash. The cycle of life.
  22. Nice.
